And to think that they were not made of “sterner stuff” when I first met them in Bree; to think that their task had been as hopeless as I was in becoming King again. These selfless, resilient, and courageous Ring-bearers have exceeded all the Wise ones’ expectations and have gained respect from all creatures of Middle-Earth. To accomplish what they have done was no small feat and shall be remembered by all from now till eternity, forever immortalized in story and song. I will make sure that their great deeds will not be forgotten.
