It is a Gift

Throw it in the fire … I say folly, yet I will go on with the Company and protect the Ring-bearer in our arduous journey South. What dangers are before us, I cannot foresee.

Truehearted men stand by the belief that Sauron will not conquer, not until the White City is destroyed which will never happen while she is still strong. I have a while before I can convince Frodo not to acquiesce to the Council’s command. And if I acquire my ends, I will indeed bring a mighty gift that would aid us in turning the tide against Sauron.
