My Collection of Drabbles   by Periantari

“The old moon passed, and a new moon waxed and waned in the world outside, while we tarried there.” –Aragorn, The Great River

“It was the same moon that I looked upon before I came to Minas Tirith that made me think of you, Frodo,” said Pippin.

“The moon looked far off for me when I went with the Rohirrim to see to Gondor’s aid,” said Merry.

“No moon was seen in Mordor…only the stars kept me hopeful,” said Sam.  “Did you remember the Stinker always referred to it as the Pale Face?”

“Now we will not fear moonlight anywhere. How it shines so beautifully bright along Minas Ithil,” said Aragorn.

Frodo added quietly, “No fear of darkness, no stain of Mordor anymore.”
