They are learning the basics in the responsibilities associated with caring for their ponies, and that is good. Dear Pippin has come into his own. Author Reply: Yes, the lads will be ready for the responsibility once they've had a year or so of occasional training. I'm loving writing Pippin at this age. He's gained confidence and no longer feels like he's living in the shadow of his father. He's surrounded by a loving family and he has good people working with him to keep things going as they should.

Ah, Pippin and Merry; they know one another so well. This was a very nice chapter, and I enjoyed seeing them there, and how Merry began the lads' lessons with such a practical lesson, LOL! BTW, what are Perry's and Wennie's ages in relation to Faramir and Bandobras? Author Reply: Glad you liked this. I took some of your comments under advisement and wrote this chapter with you in mind. There's a lot more still to go. Perry is two years and 11 months older than Faramir and Wenny is six months older than him. Bandy is one year and 11 months younger than Faramir. Merry's other two children, Theodoc and Simbelmyne are close to Ruby and Sapphires ages. I'm trying to get myself in a good place to work on the next chapter. There's a lot I want to get into it but Real Life has been a real pain lately. Last weekend with the extra day I took was great for finishing this chapter. Thanks for reading and making me think things through.

“I think he knows about all of them. He may have named Sam’s but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have named ours too.” I love that idea. :) Author Reply: I thought it was a sweet idea and I just had to include it. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

At least they are learning to care fully for their new companions. That is indeed important, as they will appreciate the more in the future. Author Reply: That's what I figured would be the wisest thing. I also figure Merry would be a very thorough teacher. Thanks for reading and reviewing so faithfully.
