| The hobbits did a lot of research here. They must have been fascinated by the beauty of the Mallorn trees from the first moment on. Author Reply: I'm certain the presence of Galadriel's gift must have fascinated everyone, and that particularly Merry would pore through the library in Rivendell for more information on them. After all, the Master indicates Merry visited there when he could. | |

| Mighty Mallorn mothers Middle-earth's mythical mortals. (Mythical is better than my first idea of using midget.) History and Botany in this alphabet, very educational. | Ah, and so M is for Mallorn! I might have guessed! And I imagine the new Party Tree made for quite the illustration! Or was it Galadriel and Celeborn's Halls (or Amroth and Nimrodel's) in the treetops instead? Author Reply: What better than the Mallorn, do you think? I rather think it would be the Mallorn in the Party Field than Lothlorien, considering the illustrations were being supplied by Estella. | |
