Thranduil can be most fierce when his children are endangered. And finally the baby is born....

Author Reply: Thranduil is a terror when it comes to his kids. Anyone who touches one of them had better watch out.

I really love your handling of Alfrin and Ithilden's pregnancy (it really seems like the pregnancy belongs to both of them - wish it were that way with us mortals!!) and the birth of Sinnarn. It was really beautiful how they shared in the birth. I am really enjoying all of your stories. I found Spring Awakenings by accident and have read it all to date and have now gone back to start at the beginning with When the Shadow Touches Home. I hope you continue because I have become quite found of your Legolas and his family.

Author Reply: Thank you, wantanelf! I'm so thrilled that you've decided to go back and read all this stuff.

I'm actually thinking I'll write another young Legolas fic now, maybe set soon after "Growing Under Shadow." I can have lots of Ithilden (before he was married) in it. I have a long and growing list of stories I'd like to write. I'm shamelessly fond of Legolas and his family too!

But then he raised his hand, stopping the war party in a flurry of hooves, and was on the ground before his stallion had come to a full halt.

Oh, my gosh, I am loving this story! What an awesome tale!

All the story lines . . . and all the action . . . that quote above just took my breath away. And Legolas, all hormones and sweetness of heart . . . just great!

If I ever write this well, I'll be very happy. What a beautiful vision. This is just great. I'm almost speechless with pleasure (a rare thing for an English major). Thanks for writing it.

Author Reply: Thranduil in full rage is terrible sight. His sons are more precious to him than any jewel in his treasure and the Karik dared to harm Legolas. Karik the Cruel Fool, one of my reviewers called him.
