Fantastic!! Loved young Pippin "turning on the charm"...perhaps that's why he's got me wrapped around his hobbity little finger! Onto the next chapter...

Author Reply: Yes, charm and lots of cake. Could life be any better? LOL

This was hilarious! It put me in mind of the cake in "Conspiracy" and the way Pippin kept eating at it. It's funny how everyone naturally assumed that a hobbit lad could be entertained with more food--they were right of course! LOL!
I like your hints about Pip and Diamond. Are they ever going to get that dance?

Author Reply: I thought at that point in their lives, Merry and Pippin might have trouble in groups because of the age difference. I figured Pip might be a bit out of place at the party and have to find other entertainment, cake! LOL
There is more on Diamond and Pip in future chapters.

A new story and already so many chapters! This is so sweet and wonderful: both Pippin´s birthdays, and Merry´s joy in telling about them. It´s good to see a happy post-quest Frodo too. Lovely as always!

Author Reply: I love a happy Frodo! I hate to write him when he's all sad and depressed. That's why the post quest stories are so hard for me at times. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Great chapter. I loved 'Pippin's experiment,' very cute.
'No one had time to spend with him but everyone had extra cake to give away. Funny, it was never this easy to get cake at home. '
Poor Pippin, doesn't know whats going on.
So I am assuming that Pippin did end up askig Diamond to dance and it went well, no? Can't wait for the next chapter.

Author Reply: Answers about Pippin and Diamond are coming soon. I'm working the bugs out of the next chapter later this evening. Wish me luck!

("Here," Pervinca said, reaching over to the table and beginning to slice a large piece of cake. "You take this and then promise me that you won’t say a word to anyone about what I just told you." She handed her brother the dish with the large piece of cake on it.

"Well, alright, Vince, "Pippin said. "Only I’m not really sure what it is that you told me."

"Even better, little brother, now enjoy your cake," Pervinca said, and then she turned and left.

That was strange to say the least, but then it was very hard to figure out what lasses were about, especially older sisters.)

Oh my gosh! I laughed so hard when I read this part! I liked the birthday cake story, very cute. I also liked how you cut back and forth between the two days, it kept it interesting:)

Great as Always:)

Author Reply: This, without the frame work, was the cake story that I told you about. I had hoped that this one hooked together well but wasn't sure. This was the hardest of the little short stories to fit into the frame work for me for some reason. Thanks for the lovely review and I am glad that you are enjoying this one.

Pippin eating all the cake that was given him! No one bothered to keep track of how many pieces he had, besides the one whom he would actually ask for it! So did Pippin get to dance with Diamond? It guess that will be answered in the next bit. Looking forward to more!

Author Reply: I have trouble turning down cake myself so this chapter was easy to write. Thanks for the review and there's more on the way.

Lol, very cute. I can just imagine Pippin turning on the charm to get so much cake, and not think about the consequences. So are we going to get another story about how Pippin turned on the charm with Miss Diamond Took? I'm quite interested in that story :P

- Pervinca

Author Reply: Oh, there's more to come and Miss Diamond just might turn up. Thanks for reading.

Once again you have left me smiling. These birthday tales have been great fun and I like the going back and forth between the present time and the remembered times. Well done indeed!

Author Reply: Thank you! The birthday fictions started out as a group of small stand-alone stories and I have taken them and connected them together with this story about Merry's recovery. I had no idea if it would work or not, but I'm giving it a try. Keep smiling!
