Trust a Brandybuck and a Took!  by Grey Wonderer 11 Review(s)
LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 17 on 9/29/2006
LOL! I love your Pippin and Diamond stories.

You Tooks here at the Great Smials do the most interesting things.

and
"We try our best," Pippin said, wrinkling his nose a bit. At least, he thought glumly, I haven’t poured anything on her this time.

And *then* that he was trying not to sneeze on her!

(and of course the rest was simply delightful.)

Author Reply: Thank you! This was one of my first attempts at romance of a sort for Pippin and Diamond. I had them dance in "Many Happy Returns" but this was really a bit riskier. Glad you enjoyed it. I have always meant to do something else with this table. I gave it a background of sorts but I never came back to it. I might have to do that now that you've reminded me of it. Thank you for the lovely review!

He was fortunate the glue turned out to be water soluble. Lovely way for him to get loose. Lovely use for the Wedding Table.

Author Reply: My unusual stab at romantic fiction. I am glad that you enjoyed it. I may have to write more about the table later on. It has stuck with me somehow. LOL

Oy! The things these lads get up to. I repeat, some day Pippin will learn to not trust Merry. Someday. Another very fun chapter. I'm enjoying this series a great deal. :)

Author Reply: Thank you! I figure that it was one interesting scheme or disaster after another with Merry and Pip. I suppose I will keep writing these until I just run out of messes to put one or both of them in. LOL

How sweet! I so wish someone would make a movie and show us how everyone lived after the quest!. Lovely story, very enjoyable reading!

Author Reply: Thank you. I very rarely try anything romantic, but this one just came to me. I had written a little bit about Pip meeting Diamond for the first time in a longer story "Many Happy Returns", but that story was mostly about birthdays past and present and the Diamond/Pip meeting was only a small part of it. Glad you enjoyed it and many thanks for the review.

Wow...I'm speechless...and melted all over my family room carpet from reading your steamy romance novel!!! I LOVED IT! Pippin's first kiss! I was wondering when Pippin was going to get up the nerve to plant one on her lips. Was she taunting him, or what? ;-) And naturally, I always love the banter between Merry and Pippin. Hope our Merry and Estella are next! Thanks for sharing.

Author Reply: That you for "sticking around" to read this one. LOL I got a bit carried away on this one, but I did stop before it went all NC-17 on me. I like to think that she was taunting him a tiny bit, but I believe it was worth it for him. LOL Glad you enjoyed it. Maybe Merry will glue someone else to something once he's perfected his mixture. (mad scientist that he seems to be in this one.)

Oh, that is single-handedly the funniest Pippin-Merry story ever invented! It was a good thing I was home alone, or my whole family might have come running into the room to see what I was laughing so hard about (to the point of not being able to breathe!) So the paste was useful after all! LOL I love the scraps Merry and Pip get themselves into. Keep writing these little stories!

Author Reply: Now that's what I love to hear! It made you laugh! I'm so glad and thanks for the great review. It made me very happy! I am sure there will be more of these before long.

Merry rather lucked out there. Pippin would have strangled him if he wasn't so distracted. What a fun and lovely chapter. I love your characterization of Diamond, and her and Pippin are just too cute together.

Author Reply: Thank you. I almost posted this one on its own rather than with the Brandybuck and Took stories because it is about Diamond and Pippin, but I decided that since Merry played a major part in it all that I would post it in with these others. Thanks so much for reading!

I saw this on your LJ but I haven´t had time to read it before now. Thiw as so great! Diamond to the rescue, lol! And evil Merry. :) I enjoyed this very, very much. Thank you.

Author Reply: Thank you. I have no idea where this plot came from. It just turned up and I had to do it. Evil Merry did come back to rescue Pippin. Diamond just got there first. LOL

Tact, to Pippin, is a four letter word, isn't it?

I'm with Merry - pasting him to the table is a very good idea. Of course, it turned out to be an even better idea when the beauteous Diamond turned up to give him her assistance, and indulge in a little oral exercise.

By the end, Pippin must have been seriously grateful to Merry.

Author Reply: Oh, I believe that he was very grateful. LOL

Absolutely marvelous! I had a great laugh with that! Merry sticking Pippin to the table in the first place then all of Pippin's efforts to get un-stuck, I liked it best when he slid under the table and couldn't get back out! I guess he enjoyed being stuck to the table more than he thought he would ;) Thanks for the fun!

Author Reply: I think that pippin enjoyed his time with Diamond in spite of his embarrassment at being glued to the table by Merry. Glad that this gave you a laugh!
