Awwww! Little baby Pip Squeak! So cute! Loved the scene at the end. Pippin is indeed getting his way - Merry's warming up to him at last.

Author Reply: If they are very careful they just might become friends later on. LOL Glad you liked it and thanks for reading!

It is so great to know how Pippin got Erol and how he was named. Pippin is so adorable and Merry thinking he knows exactly what he is doing is so hilarious. Question did you mean to say "small" green eyes? I love this series and can't wait for the next one.

Author Reply: thank you for the review and for reaing this one. Errol seems to have become quite popular lately. I did write "small" and I think it was because I had used the word, small in an earlier sentence to discribe Pip's face. I may need to change that. Thanks!

Very smart baby and very thoughtful Frodo as well. The Old Took is in both of them, I suspect. Lovely fluff!

Author Reply: I do wonder what 'the old Took' was like at their ages. Now, that might be entertaining to know. Glad you enjoyed my fluff and thanks for the review!

Another lovely story. Even too-young-to-speak Pippin is superb at manipulating his cousins! And Frodo should be a diplomat.

So funny the way that even the mention of a thought of getting a pipe for Merry should gain him respect from his fellow lads. So . . . typical of the age.

And it explains beautifully the rather un-Shire-like name of Errol.

It would seem that Merry is still a bit on his dignity yet, when it comes to being managed by his baby cousin. Still, he'll outgrow that.

Author Reply: You know those interesting noises that almost sound like words that little ones make. I thought that Merry might have a tendancy at his age to translate them into words in the same way that parents do when they claim that there five-month-old just said "ball" or something. So, I suppose in a way, Merry actually named the rabbit.
