Awww that was adorable~! i so loved the Merry and PIppin banter about the story and the sarcasm there. Soooo adorable~ and the love between them is so precious. :D and funny too. =)
I loved this! aww gentle h/c is good too. poor Pip with the cold! :D

Author Reply: Thanks! So glad you enjoyed this one. I always seem to write Merry a bit sarcastic and since he was sick, I figured that Pippin might be in a bad mood so this is what happened. LOL Thanks so much for reviewing!

“How do you know what I want at this very minute?” Pippin demanded, a bit hoarsely. “How do you know that I don’t want to get chilled to the very bone right now? I may want to just swing the door wide open and stand in front of the winter breeze until my ears freeze off and my feet turn to ice.”

ROTFL!! Oh, my gosh....how lovely!!! Makes me want to give those lovable lads a tender hug. You have a most wonderful world of hobbits. Thank you for sharing it!

Author Reply: Glad to hear that you liked it. I made Pip a bit cranky in this one but it was for a good cause. Thanks for the review!

Oh my, GW, you do know how to write Merry and Pippin so well. I love all their little conversations and this one tops them all. Poor, wise older hobbit stuck with a twit of a younger cousin, lol. Pippin wasn't fooled though - er, except for getting into bed.

Author Reply: Thank you! I just finished reading your "Babysitting Pippin" story and that made me laugh out loud! I am glad that you enjoyed this one. It is always nice when a writer that I admire says nice things about one of my little stories. Thanks for reviewing!

What a excellent and different glimpse of the oft-written Merry-taking-care-of-sick-Pippin-story! They love each other so much and are so dear and sweet! I thoroughtly enjoyed this! :D

Author Reply: I like a bit of humor with my h/c. Thanks for the review and I am very pleased that you enjoyed this one.

*snickering* This sounds so very true to life!

“You say unimportant things nearly every time you open your mouth and I don’t question why you are doing it,” Merry said. “Do me the same courtesy, will you?”

Pippin glared at him, coughed again, and moved over closer to the fireplace to stand, his arms still wrapped about his chest. “I wasn’t aware that we were being courteous,” Pippin said, stiffly. “I do beg your pardon.”

You have such a wonderful way with dialogue.

Thanks for a great read, this morning.

Author Reply: Thank you so much. I talk almost as much as Pippin does so naturally, my characters have a lot to say. It's the descriptive phrases that I fall short on. If no one is talking, then I have no clue what to do with them. LOL Glad you enjoyed it and have a terrific weekend!

Awwwww there both as stubborn as each other. But we know they love each other deep down. Perfectly written.

Author Reply: That they do, and thank you for reading and reviewing this one.

O, GW!

'“You say unimportant things nearly every time you open your mouth and I don’t question why you are doing it,” Merry said. ' You sleigh me! ..bwhahahahaha!!

What a sweet, loving, they-know-every-single-thing-about-each-other story! Their gentle diatribe is very in character and the insight Pippin offers in the end about how he is growing up shows that he really *is* growing up. The fact that Merry seems to consider it and then dismisses the idea shows that he realizes that Pippin is getting older -- but also that he often still needs to be steered into the right direction (although he may not think so) like many irrepresible tweens.

Great story! Keep it up! :)

Author Reply: So, you got a laugh or two out of this one, did you? Glad to hear it. I just can't help but write Merry just a bit sarcastic and I've no idea why. They do know one another extremely well, but I do think that Pippin will have a hard time convincing Merry that he no longer needs looking after, even once it is true. Thanks for the review!

As Merry left the room, he heard Pippin mutter, “You practice entirely too much, Merry.” LOL!
And he will continue to practice, as long as possible! That's our Merry! I like that hobbit and his little idiot of a cousin, too ;-)

Very nice! Thank you!

Author Reply: I love both of them if you hadn't noticed. LOL Glad you enjoyed this and I thank you for t6he lovely review!
