Baggins!  by Grey Wonderer 7 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 2 on 9/22/2008
And this one--no deviousness in this one--only the accepting mixed grief and pride of those who will guard the willing sacrifice until his time comes to go on alone to what only he can do.

Deeply thoughtful.

Author Reply: This was one of my very rare serious ones. I always wonder where they come from when they turn up.

Oh, GW, I don't have words for this one. So beautiful! I can so see Gandalf thinking just these thoughts.
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Thank you. This is one of my very rare serious ones. I am glad that you enjoyed it.

If only Gandalf could have gone with him further, helped the fight further.

Author Reply: I've always wondered if that would have changed the outcome.

You conveyed what one would imagine was going through his mind at the council! Bravo! I loved the moment when his eyes met Bilbo's and they could both see the worry and the pride:)
Great stuff!

Author Reply: Thank you. I imagine that Bilbo must have been terribly worried about his Frodo at that point. Thanks for the review!

Oh, wonderfully done! I had thought I had tired forever of fics like this, but you caught me, G.W.!

By the way (blushes), Do you just hit 'reply' to respond to the reviews you recieve? I supposed that was what you did; I hadn't thought of doing it myself until you responded to my own reviews!

Author Reply: I just hit reply and that does it! LOL Thank you for the reivew and don't blush because I took forever to find that reply button when I started this business. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

I see a look of pride on the face of my dear friend, Bilbo for here stands the one that he has loved best among all others.

Oh -- beautiful. Wonderful. I can't wait to see what else you have up your talented sleeve . . . lots more, I hope! Happy typing!

Author Reply: I plan more and I hope you'll stick around. Thank you again for reviewing.

*sigh*

You paint such a wonderful picture of Frodo, and in passing, Bilbo, and while you're doing that you are sneakily acquainting the reader a bit better with the old wizard.

Thanks!

Author Reply: Thank you. This is one of my shortest fictions and it sort of wrote itself.
