Baggins!  by Grey Wonderer 9 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 3 on 9/22/2008
And the wee Took has been properly managed without realizing it at all, by the most devious Hobbit in the entire Shire! Love his idea that Bilbo just doesn't understand about children when in truth he understands them better than they do themselves! Heh!

Author Reply: I do believe that Bilbo would have been a match for any child, even a Took child. LOL

LOL! Pippin is adorable-even though I know he'd be very angry with me for saying so just now! :)

Author Reply: He would but I won't tell him about it if you don't. LOL Thanks for the review!

The little turkey!

Author Reply: He thought he had it all figured out but he hadn't counted on Bilbo. Looks like Bilbo has dealt with little Tooks before and knows just how it's done.

I loved this when I read it on your LJ, and rereading it was just as delightful!
Pippin's doubt of Bilbo's knowledge of lads his age is wonderful!

Author Reply: At this point Bilbo has Pippin totally fooled. the poor lad has no idea who he's dealing with . LOl Thanks for the review and welcome back!

Hehe. He's cute - that's why he has to accept the fact that most people simply pats him on his head like that.

Author Reply: Yeah, he is cute isn't he? That why we like him.

I know I already reviewed the last chapter, but I just can't resist. You know, I've become, in the short time I've been reading your stories (actually, I probably read some a long time ago, if you've been writing fanfiction for a while, because I've been reading it for awhile) and I've become a small bit afraid of telling you how much I love this,in fear that your head might swell overlarge and your skill would become less than what it is. But, I tell you, this gave me a happy, warm feeling in my heart.

Hm. Looks like I've babbled a bit.

Author Reply: I love when people babbled in this way! LOL Thank you so much for this and I promise to have any additional swelling removed from my head by morning at the latest. As to skill, I have no idea if what I do is a skill or just me babbling, but I am very pleased that someone is enjoying it enough to say so!

Ah, poor misguided child, thinking Bilbo doesn't know anything about children, lol. Seems Bilbo knows all he needs to know.

Author Reply: Yes, Bilbo has all manner of tricks up his sleeve. He knows just what works with little hobbit lads who think they're older and wiser than they truly are. Glad you enjoyed this.

Hee hee hee hee hee... That little scoundrel. That older scoundrel. Bilbo and Pippin are two of a kind (or is that Took of a kind?) and you did a wonderful job with them! I thoroughly enjoyed this little snippet, between Merry quickly changing sides when it comes to being accepted as an adult, and Pippin explaining to his audience how the rules are supposed to work. What fun!!

Author Reply: Why thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed this one. I think that there's more than enough Took in Bilbo to allow him to handle a ten-year-old Pippin. I think your 'Took of a kind' expression is the right one in this case. Thanks for the review!

I'm glad Pippin didn't win - he is a manipulative young hobbit. I think he might have met his match in Bilbo, who doesn't play by the same rules. Shame he didn't know Bilbo for longer - although I don't know if his parents would agree with that!

Author Reply: Any time spent with Bilbo Baggins is bound to be interesting. Thanks for the review.
