| Envied, I am sure - after all the years of fighting for his land. Though, I'd guess he also values their antics, keeping the journey entertaining between perils. A bitter mix. Author Reply: Their constant cheerfulness would certainly have been a different experience for him, that's for sure! But he would have been impressed by their loyalty and courage, finally accepting them as noble companions no less than men of Gondor or Rohan. | |
