| That line about "another small boy seeking tales" sent a shiver through me. I guess I wasn't expecting it. Author Reply: I was thinking of Aragorn when I wrote it; but since then I've read other stories chronicling the responsibility Elrond took upon himself for the care of Isildur's heirs. There would have been a long line of dark-haired boys growing up in Imladris, being taught by Elladan and Elrohir. | |

| Ann-- It seems that Elboron takes after his late uncle and will be more than a little disappointed if there aren't any orcs left to kill! And this line best I speak straight out what is in my mind has a definite Boromir-ish sound to it. I love Elboron practicing "rangerly ways," hoping to sneak up on the visitors! (I doubt there is a boy alive who hasn't tried that at least once, LOL.) A very fun drabble! Branwyn Author Reply: This was great fun to write, once I took the pressure to write Elladan/Elrohir off myself and transferred the focus to Elboron. I easily imagine him hero-worshipping his uncle, just as his son Barahir will hero-worship his grandfather. | |
