| This must be the first trout-fishing and nature conservation drabble ever! The image of the trout is lovely. "It was a brown trout, good sized, the dove color of its back speckling to silver and black along its underside." Your notes about trout-tickling are very interesting. I had heard of the practice but had assumed that it was a rural legend. Beautiful, evocative drabble--I can almost see the sunlight reflected on the water. | |

| Lovely little story! And another reason why Faramir will make such a great Steward of Gondor. Author Reply: Thank you! Sometimes it's so hard to come up with something new (it seems we've explored every known aspect of these folks' personalities) but it's rewarding to just stretch a bit, based on what we're sure of. I look forward to Ithilien, after many many years of peace and prosperity, and Faramir being able to introduce his great-grandchildren to the joys of catch-and-release fishing. | |
