You silly hobbit! Why, that is you!

Author Reply: *grins* I love dabbling in "the lighter side" of Middle-earth. :)

Love these! exactly what i am looking for. I always was biased to Rivendell! recovery Frodo with the Morgul wound so the first one is right up my alley.
I liked the stubborn!Frodo of saying he's fine in the last one because that is so me. :)

Author Reply: I'm so happy to share these with you right now. Practically all I've written for nearly 20 years is h/c, so let me know if there's any specific subject or character that you'd like to read about!

LOL, stubborn!Frodo. I thought that would give you a grin!

Ah - the first made me sigh and sit peacefully. The second - I loved the fight and Imrahil's brilliant solution. And dearest Frodo - probably an Elfish-made mirror!

Delightful as all your writings are! Thank you for sharing.

Author Reply: Indeed, one of the 'trick' mirrors for which the Elves are so infamous! Thank you for reading, and I'm so happy you enjoyed these.

I remember reading the second one, but not the first and third before. Three good looks at our beloved Frodo needing more aid than he would ask for himself. Stubborn Baggins!

Author Reply: I do love it when Frodo is taken care of, willing or no. And we're just the folks make sure it gets done. :D

I read these months ago on ff.net, but it's delightful to read them again.

I could just *hear* Elrond's musical, soothing voice in "Safe", assuring Frodo that his friends were well, and he soon would be, and that he'd reached Rivendell at last. The descriptrion was so wonderfully done.

Of course, I loved the idea that the camp almost erupted in violence at the announcement that the Ringbearers needed clothes. I would have loved to watch Eomer wade into the fray and settle it, just like a straightforward, level-headed Rohirrim would. And the mental image of the 3 pairs of battle-roughened hands, all so different - one King of men, one beautiful ageless Elven prince, and one brusque dwarf, but their hands declaring their brotherhood, all gently dressing the poor, thin, battered hobbit bodies. Beautiful imagery there, Shirebound.

And last... it makes me laugh *every* time - "It's that hobbit in the mirror who *really* needs a bath, if you ask me." ROFL! Love it!

Author Reply: Awww, thank you for reading these again. I haven't yet posted chapters 6 and 7 to ff.net.

their hands declaring their brotherhood

Oh my, what a beautiful phrase!

That last one was hilarious! Trick mirror indeed!

I liked the thought of all the men almost coming to blows at the prospect of donating their clothes! I can imaging Eomer arriving just in time too.

Lovely images here.

Author Reply: Thank you, BB. That last one didn't start out to be humorous, but Frodo was being so stubborn, I just couldn't help myself!

:D
