Trust shirebound to write an Elf-tale that a hobbit-fan can devour with glee! “The Third Age *is* ending, you impertinent hobbit,” Aragorn chuckled (I loved that.) “The Third Age is ending, you impertinent hobbit,” Aragorn chuckled “On the contrary, having a cold is no doubt quite intriguing for an Elf. Someone as long-lived as Lord Elrond no doubt believed that he would never encounter such new and fascinating experiences ever again.” This was intriguing for the reader to contemplate as well, and the ending was perfect and good for a chuckle! | *Grin* I like this! Poor Elrond. I'm sure this is a new and fascinating experience he could do without, though. I've often wondered if their human blood would make Elrond and his sons more susceptible to illnesses - but generally decided that their Elven heritage outweighs it. With the destruction of Vilya though, who knows? Author Reply: Yes, Elrond is still enjoying the unusual experience... But just wait until he's all congested, and needs softer pocket handkerchiefs for his sore, runny nose! Yes, exactly! Who knows what Vilya's influence might have had on Elrond, and his entire family? | |
