Ooooooo....I LOVE it...that's just so sweet and so right, somehow. You never do miss, do you? I'm envious!

Pippin would feel strongly the need to be seen as the adult he had become. Wonderful to realize that Aragorn would no doubt have felt the same amongst the Elves. Well done as always :)

Ah, a worthy goal indeed, although it was already achieved.

Lovely imagery.

This was just lovely, I'm pleased I came across it.I greatly enjoy stories where Aragorn tends the Hobbits, poor brave Pippin.I liked Aragorn's advice to him.

There's something endearing about the King of Men tending his small yet valiant friends, isn't there? I'm so happy you enjoyed this.

Ooh you've left me in a melting puddle of happy shivers with that last line Shirebound.

Oh, how sweet! Pippin just wanted to make his king proud, and of course, Aragorn is extremely proud of him already. Lovely.

A wonderful story so far!

Well, the plot to distract Frodo from his own brooding worked perfectly! It was a plot, wasn't it?

And I've never thought of Aragorn feeling like a child among all those elves, who never get ill - that's really unfair ;-)

Now I'm waiting for Frodo's attempt to make Pippin stay in bed. At the moment, he's too weak to get up, but knowing hobbits and especially Pippin, that might not last for long.

Thanks, Andrea! It's wonderful to have been a part of Lindelea's story challenge. I really enjoy writing scenes between Pippin and his "teachers" -- such as Aragorn.

I'm glad to see that worrying about Pippin has been good for Frodo. He is the sort of hobbit who doesn't like being the centre of attention - but does like to look after his cousins.

And Aragorn would recognise the problems of being seen as a kid when you are an adult after having spent his youth in the care of elves. I love the suggestion that once you find your heart, it stops mattering - and that the 2700ish Arwen sees him as he is. Very touching.

Lovely story.

Thank you so much. I enjoyed bringing in Aragorn to have a conversation with Pippin. Our young Took has been able to learn so much from everyone he's met on the Quest, and I can imagine he would feel a mixture of awe for his King and familiarity with 'Strider'.
