| Yes, Frodo needs to dream of the happiness he deserves, not the quite other blessings he knew instead. He's still of the Shire now, and he has young Merry to love and guide. A lovely tale. |

| No, not a "goof" at all. A sweet, warm dream, a wish for the life he would have liked to have had. The whole piece is a warm little bonding moment for the two of them. The close relationship all of the Fellowship Hobbits had as grown-ups had to begin somewhere. Thank you for letting us see some of those moments! |

| This was lovely--I do adore Frodo taking care of his young cousins! As to the foreshadowing--perhaps he was getting a glimpse into some lovely AU, where he has just such a lovely long life. |
