Untold Tales of the Mark: The Banishment of Éomer  by Katzilla 2 Review(s)
Agape4GondorReviewed Chapter: 41 on 12/11/2006
I just do not agree with your concept of the relationship between Gondor and Rohan. Peter Jackson's interpretation was definitely not canon.

Otherwise, these have been awesome chapters; I'm just ignoring your jibes at Gondor....

Author Reply: I don't know, it seems to me that the two Kingdoms had lost contact quite a bit for a while (but of course one can argue whose fault it was)... and since my story is a mixture of both movies AND books (AND something else altogether mine thrown in for good measure), I decided in this case to go with the movies. I can't really see John Noble's Denethor having a high opinion of our horselords, sorry. His son (Boromir) is an altogether different affair (as he seems to have some distinctly "Rohirric" character-traits as well), but as we see in their opinion on their remaining "other" family member, they are certainly not always of one mind about everything.

Very moving and well written. I like the horse bits - have you been talking to Maddy again? BTW I think Aragorn winked - not blinked. LBJ

Author Reply: Whoops... hehe... sorry there. Thanks for catching it! I must apologize that I did not get around to responding to your earlier review, but RL had been pretty hard on me for these past three weeks, which is also why this chapter took so long to post.

I'm very happy though to find that you are still with me. And yes, I have been talking to Maddy, but not about Firefoot. That grey demon is entirely my own creation. Éomer sure got his hands full with his horse alone, eh?

Looking forward to hearing from you again,
katja
