Ten Thousand Years Will Not Suffice  by Agape4Gondor 3 Review(s)

Still another attack? Gads! Hopefully this time the blade will not actually injure him! And what did our little strumpet tell her daddy about Faramir's actions?

Oh I think I somehow missed this update or something! It was a nice surprise though...

It's so interesting how you write the realities of a political marriage and how the parties have to work to get any happiness. I really felt bad for both Boromir and Faramir during the entire betrothal scene - it would be horrible for Boromir to face being tied to someone so unpleasant out of duty and it would be frightening for Faramir to think a wedge might be driven between himself and his brother. I also like the bits of Denethor we got - you show how hard his life is the more so because he can't ever show his weakness and even spends his time hiding from those closest to him.

And the end! I hope Galador isn't really planning on hurting Faramir as that would probably be treason - though I imagine his sneaky daughter is behind whatever trouble has sprung up.

Author Reply: It happens to us all, Rugi, even with the author and story update features, I sometimes miss whole chapters of favorite stories! Glad you found this at last; I'm furiously working on the next part.

The betrothal scene was not fun, was it? How sad that such an awesome day should be so yucky! Denethor is assailed from all ends and none of his choices seem to bear good fruit.

Treason is what Sauron lives on....

My goodness, what a cliffhanger! I hope you update soon with an ending like that. I like Miriel less and less as the story goes on, especially after this chapter. Tainting Findulias' garden... ugh. What a wretched thing to do.

Author Reply: I don't usually write cliffhangers, Sarasrati, but this one just fell into place. And, thankfully, I've finished the re-editing of this entire tale and can now get back to the fun part - writing and living with Denethor and his sons... Whoo hoo!

Miriel started out with such promise. Imrahil was sure her strength would be needed, due to Finduilas' untimely death, but he never envisioned that her strength would turn to willfullness.

Thanks for reading... there will be more. LOL
