Dreams of Gold  by Lindelea 7 Review(s)

Ah... this is how they came into the Houses of Healing, isn't it? Makes a lot of sense now.

This is a very nice twist. I hadn't expected such an ending to it at all.

Take care, Nienor

This is a wonderful tale, Lin, all your apologies and explanations aside. An interesting adventure for Farry and Ferdi with a happy ending. Well done indeed!!

What a sweet ending! It's a good thing Uncle Cirion was familiar with the Ernil i Pherrianath and that as a former soldier he knew what needed to be done. Poor Turbor, still confused--as if just getting the gold meant his little captives were not Halflings.

But of course, they would have been rewarded. Aragorn would have known at once that no *real* harm was *meant*. And I would love to see the scene, when you get around to it, dear, where Farry and Ferdi find themselves trying to explain it all.

Poor Ferdi is *not* having a particularly relaxing trip, is he?

Well - Turbor was proved right! Cirion was wise to send Turbor and Corin with Farry and Ferdi - quite apart from the need to have them both there to help get the hobbits to the Houses of Healing. There was no way that, seeing them, Aragorn would blame them for their errors of judgment. And Cirion, too, did all that he could, considering his condition.

Is this excerpts from Farry and Ferdi go to Gondor? If so, I can't wait for you to be ready to post the whole tale. Good stuff.

Charming piece. I would indeed be interested to see the whole thing whenever you finish it. the slow-witted nephew's assertions remind me of Eomer's statement upon meeting Aragorn and his two companions, "legends rising out of the grass". It is a sad fact of modern life that very often only children and slow-witted people can see magic in everyday things.

I'm waiting to see the rest of the story now, of course, Lindelea.

Love to your own leprechauns, and if you make it up our way you are always welcome here.
