Winds of Change  by Lady Bluejay 3 Review(s)

She's being obstinately quiet, isn't she? She'd best speak soon.

I also had messengers take advantage of the weeks in Ithilien to obtain fresh clothing for those of Rohan.

Author Reply: I have always thought someone must have provided clothes. Once I had Eomer wearing some of Boromir's. Once Lothiriel sent a load from Dol Amroth. LBJ

the effect was spoilt, he just looked like Aragorn dressed up.

I suspect that the rather kingly-appearing Eomer fears that he just looks like the Third Marshal dressed up in borrowed splendour. And I don't blame Eowyn at all for keeping his good clothes in a large bedroom in the Citadel.

I loved seeing him looking for Eowyn and watching jealously over her and Faramir - even as he feels a tug of attraction to the girl who ends up hugging Amrothos.

Riding in the morning. Well - he couldn't really expect to spend much time in Faramir's company any earlier than that. Not with the business of coronations and power transfers under way.

He's being very sweet about it all really. But Eowyn? Shopping for ribbons and lace and fal-lals like that? She must be in love!

Author Reply: Glad you liked that line. I was a favorite of mine. It always struck me that the clothes had to come from somewhere and I enjoy finding explanations for things Tolkien does not tell us! LBJ

Oh, oh! Eomer is *very* attracted to Nienna and even Eowyn has noticed. Not good at all.He will have to control his manly urges, methinks, if he wants to remain friends with Imrahil and his family.Interesting that Eomer falls for a woman named Nienna.

I like the fact that Eowyn sent away to Edoras for more refined clothes for Eomer to wear for the coronation and feast days afterwards. The Rohirrim probably had to deal with being thought of as heathens by the Gondorians for many years--but Eomer does scrub up well!

Poor Eowyn, being teased by her brother! I'm glad that he's happy for her and told her that Faramir die well in the ceremony. She's feeling very vulnerable and needs her big brother to accept Faramir as her future husband.I can't wait until Eomer and Faramir meet face to face!

Great work, LBJ, and I'm looking forward to more of your story.

Ali.

Author Reply: I would certainly think he scrubs up well. Look out for more about scrubbing and a bit more teasing.LBJ
