Neath Anor, Ithil, and Gil  by Larner 3 Review(s)

The last line says it all, really. As sad as it is, the tale of Númenor is a pretty realistic picture of human nature, I fear. I'm always glad at least the Faithful escaped the destruction.

Author Reply: I am so glad you agree! Thanks so, Kitty!

An interesting glimpse of a part of Tolkien's world of which I know very little, I fear.

Author Reply: It was interesting trying to think why Imrazor would have been called "the Numenorean" so long after the founding of Gondor.

Thanks so, Linda!

I'm used to thinking of Imrazôr in terms of his wife, rather than the events -- and follies -- he must have seen. Kudos for putting it all together -- and for portraying him with the wisdom he must have had to have attracted Mithrellas.

Author Reply: RiverOtter asked for a tale of the early days of Dol Amroth; it was fascinating to realize he was a contemporary with Earnil the Second--I'd ignored the fact that there WERE two Earnils! Now I have some serious rewriting to do in "Stirring Rings," I fear. Good to hear from you!
