| I finally get a minute here at nearly 3:30 in the morning to read and this is just delightful. Scamp and Sam and the pups! Oh, I love how quickly Frodo translated the name. Another adventure! | Heee, great beginning! I love Frodo suddenly remembering his manners and the bantering at the end of the chapter. It shows how close the Ranger and the hobbit have become since "Quarantined". | Sam would have very well-trained dogs! And be totally thrilled with meeting an elf! I suspect Elladan will enjoy his visit to the Shire just as much as his hosts will relish his presence. Shame Bilbo's ill, though. He's not getting any younger! Whatever the outward appearances. Author Reply: Earlier in this series ("Reflections of the Past", in which Scamp gets adopted), I thought it was too early for Sam to meet his first Elf. But the time has come at last! What fun. I'm going to enjoy 'seeing' the Shire and its folk through Elladan's eyes. | |

| It's wonderful to have a new story for it's always such a pleasure for us all when Aragorn pays a visit to Bag End.
