Agape's Attempts  by Agape4Gondor 2 Review(s)

ooo! shivers!

That is beautiful but dark in a way. I really like it. I can truly see them both having such a love of their respective places.

Author Reply: It was a very sad thing for Faramir to remember. I truly believe he loved Ithilien; it spoke to his 'artistic' side. That is one thing that makes us truly wonderful creatures, when we put aside our own feelings, we can rejoice in the choices of others. Faramir understood his brother's love for the city and Boromir understood Faramir's love for the land. For him to 'receive' it as Prince was a profound move by Aragorn. Yet, bittersweet.

Anticipation for the healing to come, that is so much needed by all.

A beautiful ficlet, seeing how much Faramir already loves this land.

Author Reply: Thanks bunches, Larner. I've always had troubles understanding Faramir - his loyalty to Boromir was questioned. A buddy and I spent many conversations speaking of this and trying to figure it out... finally, we came up with a solution that eased our minds. And so now, I think I can write Faramir without worrying too much. Though I have not the status of other 'Faramir' writers, I, at least, feel comfortable with the man. And that is a good thing.
