| Ah, Ann, such a wonderful, wonderful story! Lovely! Mist appearing to steal the fields? Ah, the wonder of children! Author Reply: I've walked through rolling fields in late summer when they are blanketed by mist, muffling even the birdsong. | Oh how lovely - beautiful language and a beautiful moment between father and son. It's obvious how much Faramir loves and values his son; this is one relationship that won't end in flames. Author Reply: Sometimes I go walking in the early morning in a park with rolling hills and fields; when the mist is rising it's like walking through a cloud. | This is just lovely. What a magical, precious moment between father and son. Author Reply: Thank you! These two are modeled after a father and son I've encountered at school, a homeschooler and his doting dad. The young man is lively and curious; the father is warm and very supportive, not only to his own children but to the community. I never wrote Faramir and Elboron until I met these two wonderful role models. I wonder what they'd say if they knew? Your wonderfully encouraging comments are always appreciated! | |
