My Sword Trembles - Book Three - 'My Sword' Series  by Agape4Gondor 5 Review(s)

hm..so, if I understand this correctly, Boromir and Denathor are both dead? That is why Faramir is under the care of his aunt?
This is really good so far.

Author Reply: Hello colbysgurl... welcome to Indis' tale.

If you want to 'see' what happened before this and how it happens that Denethor is dead - then read the first of the books... My Sword Sings... unfortunately, at the very end of that comes an event that will change Faramir's life even more than the death of his father.

Then - if you'd like - you can check out what happened right before this book with My Sword Weeps.... fun with Aragorn and Elves!

Thanks for reading and responding and enjoying!

You have me in tears, you know. This was such an emotional chapter. I was holding it together even after Hurin of the Keys' reference to Boromir the Beloved but lost it completely during Faramir's speech.

Ah, Theoden is kneeling to Indis, isn't he? Really, if it weren't for her so much would have been for the worse in Gondor and it wouldn't take long for the Mark to suffer the same.

She is a woman of morals, fortitude and strength and she obviously loves Faramir dearly. I can't think of any other person who would be more appropriate as Faramir's regent.

I suppose I wouldn't be allowed to give Faramir a hug, now that he is Steward, would I? It just seems that he is in need of one really badly when this chapter ends.

Wonderful job, meldenya!

Hugs,

Edlyn

Author Reply: So very sorry for the late reply! Denethor has been absolutely vicious over at 10,000 Years! You know how he can get!

I'm so glad you are enjoying this. I give Theoden big marks for his humility. Isn't that the mark of a great man!?!

And yes - please hug Faramir - he needs a few after what my Muse has put him through!

Blessings for your kind review and continued support!

I'm delighted to see Faramir acclaimed as Steward; and wisely give Indis the regency. One small quibble - I didn't understand why Theoden, king of the Mark, would kneel to Indis and Faramir; he is the Steward's sworn ally and not vassal.

I'm looking forward to seeing where you take the story from here - so many things could be different. I still want to see Faramir meet Frodo and Sam in Ithilien and lead them to Henneth-Annun and refuse the Ring; and it still could happen - or not.

Author Reply: Raksha! Thanks for the comments. We'll see, perhaps, why Theoden King knelt. And I cannot promise you where the Muse will take Faramir - though my thoughts, as I stated during My Sword Weeps, are definitely leaning towards HA and Frodo.... it is still most plausible... However, I am very sorry to say that it will not occur in THIS book. That chapter will be written in My Sword Reigns.

Faramir and the Muse did not want me to skip over the next almost thirty years of his life, which is what I had planned, and just go right into the War of the Ring... so that is why you are now seeing a book entitled, My Sword Trembles, instead of My Sword Reigns.

*%^)^@#* Muse!

Ah, well done, blessed child.

Author Reply: *heavy sigh* He is his father's child... Hopefully, he won't go mad. *shivers*
