Poor Lothiriel so soon parted again from Eomer and having such nightmares.I feel helping the wounded riders will help her as much as they.Enjoyable as ever.

Author Reply: Hello Linda,
she didn't have a lot of time with Eomer, did she! I'm hoping to be able to make it up to her though. And you're right that helping the wounded riders will make her feel better.

Ah! Delightful as she faces down the Rohirrim and brings them back to courtesy. Poor Haleth! Now, to see the return of Eomer and what happens then! And having a purpose will aid her on many levels.

Author Reply: Hello Larner,
I also think that by helping the Rohirrim, she is helping herself. And Eomer will be back quite soon, in the next chapter in fact.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Of course the wounded Rohirrim would be disgusted at the mere thought of mounting a donkey... and that gives our Princess the time to actually do something instead of sitting around, plagued by memories and nightmares.

Still... I hope he comes back earlier.

Author Reply: Hello Mona,
yes, I agree that helping the wounded Rohirrim get mounted properly will make her feel better. But since I'm keeping to canon here, Eomer won't be back for another month. However, I'm hoping that the reunion will make up for the waiting.

Frohe Weihnachten und einen guten Rutsch in's Neue Jahr wünsch ich Dir!

That was great! I loved how Lotheriel handled that. It's good you gave her nightmares, otherwise she wouldn't have been so realistic. That parting shot about the mare was hilarious, I love how she still took it as a compliment. Have a Merry Yuletide and New Year.

Author Reply: Hello Galimeril,
yes, I think you can't go through that kind of experience and emerge completely unscathed on the other end. Especially as it got so close and personal for Lothiriel. And she knows her Rohirrim well by now, doesn't she ;-)

Thanks for reviewing and have a Merry Christmas!

Excellent chapter, and a fun story.

No doubt a new project will help with her nightmares and help the days pass until Eomer comes to Gondor again.

Author Reply: Thank you! I agree that keeping busy is really the best thing for her.

Thanks for reviewing.

I laughed out loud at Lothy's "Plan B" just in case Eomer doesn't ask her to marry him. I really love Amrothos' interaction with Lothy and could not wait to "meet" her other brothers and see how they would react to their "changed" sister. It seems that she gets well whenever she has to do tasks related to Rohan--which is very promising given her future role. I hope that Lady Rian and company do not make her life more difficult when Eomer returns to Minas Tirith.

Author Reply: Hello Whitewave,
in a way it's a shame that she won't have to fall back on her 'Plan B', isn't it. But I can't see Eomer needing a lot of persuasion - so don't worry about Lady Rian. And I agree that seeing the wounded Rohirrim and making the decision to help them was probably the best thing that could have happened to her.

Thanks for reviewing and have a Merry Christmas!

I have to laugh at the way Amrothos is so sure he knows Eomer's romantic inclinations better than Lothiriel does. Won't he be surprised! I love the idea that she's so sure of herself. She knows Eomer wouldn't trifle with her. And apparently half the Rohirrim know too. That is so fine.

It's good that she has something useful to do again. I hope her family recognizes her strengths and needs and lets her go to it.

Author Reply: Hello Daw,
yes, poor Amrothos is in for a bit of a shock, I think. The idea that his little sister has grown up and might be attractive has not quite got through to him. But at least in Rohan they won't be surprised at Eomer's choice of queen.

And I think her family will support Lothiriel in her endeavours to help the Rohirrim, although they might be surprised by her efficiency.

Thanks for reviewing and have a Merry Christmas!
