Oh lovely. I've been out of town and came back to two chapters! I love Eomer in this one. Lothiriel is right. He's a wily campaigner.

Author Reply: Hello Daw,
sorry for being so late with my reply to your review, but my youngest has been ill all week, so I was very busy. However, I'm pleased to hear you liked Eomer putting his campaigning skills to work ;-)

A deliciousl chapter I loved it and even a glimpse of Aragorn! I hope Arwen will talk him into giving up the weed! What a lovely reunion for Eomer and Lothiriel!

Author Reply: I never really thought about what Arwen would make of her husband's habit, but I'm sure she can be very persuasive ;-) And I'm pleased that you liked their reunion.

Thanks for reviewing.

Poor aunt - she never stood a chance against so experienced a warrior. *grins*

And the kissing scene...hmmmmmmm. If this should be Amrothos, may he fall flat on his face be not too angry with the King of Rohan, devouring his sister taking a certain freedom of manners with the Princess of Dol Amroth. I have waited quite some time for this chapter, and it was well worth the patience. Thank you!

Author Reply: Hello Mona,
he can lay on the charm thickly, can't he ;-)

And I like your description of Eomer 'taking a certain freedom of manners' with Lothiriel, very well expressed! However, I'm not quite sure if everybody will view this scene with the same detached attitude. We'll see...

Also I know that this chapter was a while in coming, but real life did not treat me kindly over the holidays. Hopefully the next chapters will be quicker.

Oh, what a treat!

I was glad to see, in the last chapter, that Lothíriel saw a need and sought to fill it... not only helping the injured Rohirrim, but giving her something to do that shows her how much she is needed.... and that she is an adult, not the delicate child that her father and brothers insist on seeing her as.

And this chapter is just delicious. Éomer knows how to play the courtly game and impress influential Gondorian matrons, doesn't he? Ivriniel doesn't stand a chance against such an accomplished campaigner -- not to mention, a honey-tongued diplomat! Impressed by Lothíriel's sewing skills, indeed.... LOL!

But whoooooooopsie! How did you manage to set up a cliff-hanger in a garden? Is that Amrothos who caught them?

Oh, it's got to be Amrothos!

Please, please, please, please let it be Amrothos....

Looking forward to seeing where you take this next!

P.S. Happy New Year!

Author Reply: Hello Barbara,
I don't set up cliffhangers, they just happen to me! And I won't give away who caught them, but I promise you'll find out soon.

As for Lothiriel helping the Rohirrim, I think her family is slowly noticing how much she has changed and grown up. Although they are still clueless as to how much a certain Rider of Rohan has to do with it.

And Eomer swept everything before him, but he might just have hit a snag there...

Thanks for reviewing and a Happy New Year to you as well!

Caught! Ah, but the both of them are irrepressible! Heh!

Lovely!

Author Reply: Hello Larner,
irrepressible or rather foolhardy? ;-)

Another enjoyable chapter, plus this one is very exciting! Your cliffhangers are priceless! Hope the intruder is someone safe like Amroth--wouldn't he be surprised! Wonder what the aunt will say when she notices that Lothy lost some of her hairpins. Eomer's naughty words (and deeds) in the garden were fun to read. I'm curious to find out how they will behave during the funeral cortege to Rohan.

Author Reply: Hello Whitewave,
I'm afraid I'm just not very kind to my characters (or my readers), so no, it's not somebody 'safe' who has interrupted them. I like to have my bit of fun with them - although I assure you in real life I'm a perfectly nice person ;-)

It's nice to hear you enjoyed the chapter!

Oh lovely! I hope you had a nice Christmas, before gifting us with such a nice chapter.

Éomer and Aunt Ivriniel were such fun together, and it is so nice to see that there is such understanding between Lothiriél and Éomer!!

Author Reply: Hello curiouswombat,
I had fun writing that scene with dear Auntie Ivriniel, so it's nice to hear you enjoyed it. And there's most definitely an understanding between Eomer and Lothiriel ;-)

I hope you had a nice Christmas, too.
