Awww, four hobbits in a tub!!! Gosh, I adore this scene. What could be better than that? Oh, I know---tipsy Frodo! Or better yet, tipsy Frodo with a headache in need of some TLC!

Love the last bit, especially, with Aragorn wanting to help Frodo and Frodo reluctant. Of course he'd worry the same thing would happen again.

On to the next chapter again now---eeeeee!!!!!!1

Author Reply: Rub-a-dub-dub, four hobbits in a tub!

Frodo isn't the only one who would like that explained - ;-) I liked Pippin's quick thinking to distract Merry. That bath does sound wonderful!

Author Reply: I hope you like the explanation in Chapter 12!

Happy hobbits in a tub, what a delight. :)

Would you believe that I read this chapter three times now - and every time I wanted to leave a review, I had to leave. How frustrating!

Other than this delightful piece of writing, of course. Caring, funny hobbitses, a concerned Frodo, an Aragorn on shaky legs... and Frodo again, pondering breakfast after been provided with athelas. Simply wonderful. *hugs*

Author Reply: Thank you, Mona! *beams* How I'd love to be a guest in that tent.

Great chapter, It is sort of nice to know that hobbits can get hang-over too, not that I do that anymore. But if I did, would be nice to have somebody to take away the headache,

Author Reply: It sure would! :)

I'm glad to see Aragorn up and about at last - I always find it odd, thinking of him having any sort of human weakness! :-)

Loved the description of the hobbit bath, and Eomer trying to avoid being splashed! What could be nicer than tipsy hobbits? Pity that poor Frodo paid for his ale consumption the next morning but I'm glad Aragorn was able to help him.

Now I can't wait to read about their conversation........

Author Reply: Thank you! With all that Aragorn went through (especially movie-Aragorn!), it's amazing he didn't collapse from exhaustion more often. I just love exploring the idea that even he would have a breaking point, and that Men might not understand or accept it... but hobbits would.

I'm fascinated to learn what the Hobbits perceived of Aragorn's healing.Poor Frodo to feel too guilty to easily accept it again.Another loveely chapter.

Author Reply: Thank you, Linda. The hobbits are learning new things about their friend 'Strider' in the same way he's still learning new things about them. :)

Tipsy hobbits! Aw! Although I'm sorry Frodo felt ill the next morning, but it was a perfect lead-in to his fears for Aragorn and the discussion they will have. Sam was especially dear in this, and I teared up when he talked about holding Frodo's hand tightly to stop the bleeding. *cries* Pippin, too, is a total dear and I love that he dreams of the Lady smiling at him.

Author Reply: Thank you! Hobbits are just all-around dear, aren't they? Aragorn is going to miss their informal, teasing, affectionate, honest presence when it's time for them to go home.

My favorite part was Pippin's little trick in getting Merry to think of happier times! And you forgot the bath at Crickhollow - that one seems to have been the most fun - while they were yet innocents.

Author Reply: I'm glad that the Professor wrote about that Crickhollow bath, which inspired much of the splashing and singing in this one! Hobbits take great joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Ah, the acceptance on Frodo's side comes, and together he and Aragorn know the joy of their friendship and the exercise of Aragorn's basic nature.

Lovely!

Author Reply: "The joy of their friendship" is truly at the heart of this story. Thank you.

I just love the way Frodo and Aragorn both care too much about the other one's safety. And I enjoyed the simple way Sam thanked Aragorn for guarding the Shire. Another lovely chapter. For some reason, this one made me want hot tea and a nice long bath...

Author Reply: Thank you, GW. Wouldn't it be lovely to end every day with hot tea and a nice long bath? And hobbits, of course. :)
