| This is a very original take on Boromir and a gentle, conciliatory story. I don't think I ever saw a particular bond between Boromir and the hobbits in the books, but the event showed that he must have cared for them. I liked the double perspective of this, and Boromir's part was very touching. Something is not quite right with this sentence: "Doubtless they have ever seen the like of it before." I think that should be either "doubtful" or "never seen". Also "as I feel they will have many difficult nights ahead as they recover from their dreadful experiences" seems to have one too many "as"; but one of them could easily be replaced by "for" or "while". | |
