Adventures of an Éored: Sins of the Father  by Katzilla 3 Review(s)

All I can say is yikes! The story, as the day did, turned from a joy-filled, beautiful thing into a harrowing event.

Poor Eomer! Sticklebats!

Author Reply: LOL! I'm sorry for being so mean to the poor lad and causing my readers such anxiety (you're not the only one who wanted to rip her hair out over this chapter!). I don't know what got into me, sometimes, those horrible ideas just hit me from out of the blue... ;-)

Well, a thunderstorm indeed! Eomer couldn't hold his temper after all, but who can blame him. He is a 16 years old recruit learning to be a warrior and just has found out the circumstances about his father death. Now, Arnhelm supposed to be a experienced warrior, and he had shown less self control than Eomer, he is the one that should be removed from the Eored, his hate is eating him and he is not thinking properly, it is wrong and he should be punish for that.

Eomer leaving in the middle of the storm, with no sword? no good. I think that King Theoden will no be happy with him and Arnhelm. To be honest, I wanted to punch that guy, hard...it is wrong what he is doing and someone has to take actions to stop the madness. Really, I think that Eomer wasn’t that bad, I could have been less restrained, I feel so bad for him.

Thanks and keep posting.

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia,

how wonderful to hear from you again! No, poor Éomer certainly stood no chance against an experienced warrior who was intent on getting him ejected from the éored... but let's wait and see what Elfhelm has to say to all of this. The poor man certainly has his hands full in this story (doesn't he always?). Something tells me he still got an ace in his sleeves...

So, the son of Eomund is all alone in a forest he knows nothing about, and without his sword... let's see what we can make of this situation... ;-)

Thank you so much for your always valued comments! :-)

Oh dear, hot headed as usual. Now where is he off to!

Nice detail in this story. LBJ

PS - A word missing here - “You told him what my problem with his father was, Elfhelm, didn’t you? I saw you talking with our recruit last night… as if you didn’t me to see you.”

Author Reply: Hi Sidonie,

thanks for catching this; I already corrected it. :-)

Yeah, young Éomer still has a lot to learn until he will become 3rd Marshal... but one could hardly expect him to remain calm under these circumstances, right? :-)

Thanks for your comment!
