Poor Aragorn, and poor Faramir what an ordeal. I liked your first version of this story but this extended one is shaping much better.

Poor Aragorn! A cliff is a truly evil plot, but well worth the angst! Look forward to the next chapter.

Oh my goodness, they are in trouble. Now will Beregond arrive in the nick of time? You certainly know how to leave cliff hangers.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I admit I love writing cliff hangers!

Very interesting beginning - pretty tense. I've got my fingers crossed that Beregond (being already known for his disobedience) will come to his Lord's rescue... but I'm afraid Faramir and Aragorn might be on their way to Harad. NOT a pleasant thought.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Keep your fingers crossed as that would indeed be like Beregond!

Well that's definitely got angst!

Poor Faramir was a bit stuck between a rock and a hard place for the night. Like someone else I wonder whether these are the same Haradrim as their attackers, either way I also wonder where Faramir's horse is.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Faramir is certainly in a tight spot. The horse is still at the top of the cliff awaiting her master.

Ah--it will be interesting to find out if this is the same group or a different one from the assassins. Now, why didn't our good Captain Beregond do what good captains do, and disregard his lord's commands to come find Faramir? Come on, Beregond! Heh!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. All will soon be revealed!

You wanted to go for the angst; and you certainly delivered! Faramir's determination is well-described here. Things look dark indeed for our heroes!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review my first on this site.I'm pleased the angst is working for you.It was fun to write angst again after a spell of fluff.
