He's trying so to tell her! Heh!

Author Reply: I have to admit it was fun to keep interrupting him. But then he's brought it on himself, really.

I loved the details in this chapter--the young runaway couple make a nice "mirror" of Leona and Lothy. I feel a bit sorry for Leona here because it's obvious he's working up some nerve to tell her something.

Author Reply: Hello whitewave,
first of all sorry for not answering sooner - with the school year winding down, life's been a bit crazy around here!

And since you've been reading on, you know that soon there is even more reason to feel sorry for Léona ;-)

Thanks for taking the time to review!

A very exciting chapter. I love the way you keep adding new twists and turns.

Author Reply: Thanks, Linda! For some reason this story really has lots of twists and of course the denouement is still to come.

Burn his bed in public! That's priceless. You give such charming details to this story.

Author Reply: That would actually be another nice scene to write. I can see the headlines now: 'Royal bed of Rohan goes up in flames after misunderstanding'

Ah, there are all kinds of consequences for her actions!! Things Lothiriel never even considered when she decided to run away. I'm glad that she's having to face those consequences because she's in a position where almost everything she does is scrutinized by others - not just her family - but all of the people. I like it! :)

Thanks so much and please be gentle with your hand. As much as I want to read the next chapter right away (like tonight!), I would much rather you take care of yourself so it isn't further damaged.

Oh, ho! "Wild Daughter", indeed! And our Lothy is becoming sort of a suffragette heroine? My, my! And the power of words shows the differences in their cultures rather clearly here. What she calls from the Gondorian noble society's point of view "a string of mistresses", Eomer calls simply "infidelity". In the scene in "The Two Towers" when the three grey cloaked hunters rise out of the grass in front of him, Eomer says that the men of Rohan do not lie. I would extend that to trustworthiness in keeping their vows, as well. And he has tried to work up to telling her TWICE now. But I do not think she would believe him at this point! He has dropped so many little clues, his knowledge of "Eomer King would like this or that"...and "the bed in the royal chamber is huge"...No, I think it will have to come from one of her family calling him by name in front of her. Or perhaps Aragorn gives a state dinner to celebrate her safe return, and Eomer makes a grand entrance, announced by a herald! Something quite public and embarrassing! And now, are Lotheriel and Leona going to be the girl's public witnesses in front of the Prince of Ithilien? His cousin and his brother-in-law might be considered to have a little influence with him? Do take care of your hand.

Very nice chapter and very entertaining, I love the couple they don't even have a clue who they are with! I still wish Eomer would just tell her before some trouble happens or someone catchs up with them. Hugs The Imp P.S. I hope your hand will start feeling better soon.
