'Til Death Do Us Part  by Haleth 9 Review(s)

Having reread some of the chapters since my old idea was blown out of the water I think I was looking too far back. The boots were newer in pitfalls and were given to her by someone she cares about. If she was of Numenor she'd have long since lost the tendancy to attach to any mortal. She knows that Tar Minyatur is her ancestor. Remembered seeing his image in a very old tome. Mentally isted Lothiriel as one of her relatives back when she was trying to think of a name in the finder... damn this is killing me! I have to break out my LOTR appendix again. Can't rely on my memory at this point. I think she will be someone born late 3rd age though. Maybe earlier then Lothiriel but not so far back as I was thinking. Any chance of a hint, or a clue on how long before you tell us?

Author Reply: Oh no. I'm sorry. I've mislead you. Haleth refers to Emeldir as her ancestress. The other names were meant to be a list of potential names rather than a list of foremothers. Sorry!

Oh dear! I hope Haleth is not in too much trouble.

Author Reply: One way or another, Haleth is always in trouble. It follows her around like a loyal but annoying dog. Luckily for her, she seems to have a talent for scraping through trouble (or for having Inglor pull her out of it).

Thanks for reviewing, Tari.

Author Reply: I'm curious. Who do you think she is?

Thanks for reviewing.

I'm thinking Miriel of Numenor.

Author Reply: Good idea, but not quite.

And wow. You're going to be surprised/laugh.

Wow. Now i am really looking forward to the next chapter! Poor Haleth, that must really have been a shock! I hope she will get the rest and healing that she deserves soon.

Author Reply: Haleth really can't catch a break, although I supposed a lot of people would consider teaming up with Inglor and landing in the Undying Lands to be very good fortune.

Thank-you for reviewing, Siiw

Ooh, ooh, I have a sneaking suspicion I know who she is. (Settles down to wait and see.)

Hahaha as much as I should be feeling pity for Haleth, I can't help feeling amused looking at her state!

The meeting with Eonwe was hilarious "Are you?" "Am I?" So much for flowery speech!!

I am waiting for Haleth to meet the Valar! Would be quite funny, I think!

Author Reply: It has to be awkward meeting someone without a name. It's hard to say if Eonwe genuinely doesn't know her name or if he's been told she doesn't know her own name (and not to let her know what it is).

Now I'm confusing myself.

Thanks for reviewing, shadowfax.

I finally was able to read your newest story, and I must say that you have given Haleth's life a quite unexpected twist. I like it, now I can't wait to find out just exactly who she is and why she was able to get to Aman. Inglor must have know more than he let her to believe.
Can't wait to see how this story evolves.

Author Reply: Thank-you for reviewing, Selene Aduial. Inglor can usually be counted on to know more than he's letting on. The only question is whether because he's being mysterious or he assumes everyone else knows what he knows, so he never mentions it.

I'm glad you like the story and I really hope what comes next won't be disappointing.

Oh Haleth! I think that my feeling as if I want to hug her, weep for her, and slap her upside the head is a sign of very good writing.

I do love that final scene - I am waiting with fascination her trip to meet the Valar - I do hope Inglor has not been punished too harshly for daring to bring her with him...

Author Reply: Wow. That's quite a range of reactions. Haleth is very stubborn and she's still not thinking too clearly.

I'm glad you liked the final scene. After all the legends of Earendil and Eonwe, Haleth would have found it very anticlimactic.

Thank-you for reviewing, Curiouswombat.

Did she really think the Valar didn't know she was there, or where she was heading for? Silly Mortal. *LOL* Looking forward to her visit with the Valar. I'm sure it will be very amusing (for me, if not for her).

Author Reply: Haleth hoped the Valar wouldn't know her exact whereabouts until she was gone. She was probably hoping they'd ignore her if she got away fast enough.

Thanks for reviewing.
