'Til Death Do Us Part  by Haleth 9 Review(s)
TariReviewed Chapter: 22 on 3/23/2011
I was sooooo excited to see another chapter up. Haleth is certainly going thru a difficult time. The kidness of the Valar leads me to wonder if she truly will be punished. Where is Inglor indeed and why did Eonwe disappear?

I hope the wait for answers is not too long.

Author Reply: Thank-you for reviewing again, Tari.

Haleth doesn't really expect kindness from anyone. Whenever someone is kind, she expects there's an ulterior motive for it.

Inglor is around.

I'm sorry for making you wait so long between updates. The recent sections have needed editting badly.

And more cliffies! You really must put your entire life on hold and finish this story for us, and for Silmarien.

Author Reply: Thank-you for reviewing, Frayalyn. I have a bad habit of stopping as things get exciting.

Gah! A cliffhanger and it involves Inglor! That's so unfair! And where's Eönwë gotten himself to in the meantime? Great chapter. Hope we don't have to wait too long for the next one. *grin*

Author Reply: I'm sorry. It seemed like a good place to stop. I apologize for the length of time between chapters. Editting is a chore that I find many excuses to avoid.

I hope the next chapter doesn't disappoint.

Thank-you for reviewing, Fiondil.

What a pleasure to see the notification of another chapter after a long day at work - thank you so much.

I am glad to think that she has remembered more of who she is, and that she has remembered Inglor. I wonder if she is, perhaps, here more for him than for herself?

Author Reply: That is an excellent question. I hope the next chapter mostly answers it.

Thank-you for taking the time to review.

Oooh an update after such a long long time! I have missed Haleth (I just can't call her Silmarien now!) and her completely sarcastic way of seeing things!

Inglor makes an appearance, in memory atleast. I am hoping that, if it is to be a happily ever after, you show us a bit of Inglor's mind as well or else it wouldn't feel complete!

If it is going to be a happily never after...well, some sarcastic Haleth and impassive Eonwë would be great! Or if Haleth goes haring off doing some mischief in Valinor itself. It would go right in to the theme of the character, really. Just please let there not be fluff.

Author Reply: Thank-you, Shadowfax. I can't think of Haleth as Silmarien either. The name just doesn't fit at all.

Haleth goes haring off doing some mischief in Valinor itself...

Would she do that? ;)

Thanks for reviewing.

P.S. Is there a story that goes with the dragon memory? If so, I must have missed it, though I remember it being mentioned in passing before.

Feel free to expand upon any of the vignettes alluded to that haven't been written down or posted yet....your many fans would clearly approve! *very very very big grin*

Author Reply: Is there a story that goes with the dragon memory? Not yet. I actually started to write it in an original setting. As usual, I got completely bogged down in the wheres and the whyfors. It didn't get too far.

Aha! So Silmariën (still can't get used to that name) finally remembers Inglor! I thoroughly enjoyed all the tantalizing tidbits you included from your other Haleth/Inglor stories....

Her bits and pieces of memory are not yet knit together into a whole, which would indeed be horribly frustrating (even for someone who isn't sometimes prone to hit first and ask questions later... or at least to fantasize doing so).

But where did Eonwë go? And where is Inglor? Surely he's going to show up soon? *makes big puppy dog eyes*

I can't decide whether Haleth is being prepared for the day of her death, or of her wedding (the two possibilities suggested by the title), or of receiving the thanks of the Valar and an honored retirement for her long service, or of disapproval for butting in where she's not wanted.... or something else entirely.

You sure know how to keep your readers guessing....

Thank you for this lovely birthday present, Haleth!

- Barbara

Author Reply: Happy Much Belated Birthday! I hope you had a good time.

Haleth's lot in life seems to be constant frustration. It's lucky for me that fictional characters can't throttle their writers. I'd be covered in bruises.

Will Inglor show up soon? Yes.

Haleth isn't sure of what to expect. Her mental state isn't that clear and the circumstances are overwhelming. I wouldn't want to be in her shoes.

Thank-you for reviewing.

Good chapter, but now I'm really wondering what's going on!

Author Reply: Most of it will be explained. Most of it. It would be dull and disappointing if there was no room left for speculation.

Thank-you for reviewing, Mysterious Jedi.
