'Til Death Do Us Part  by Haleth 4 Review(s)

You really are building up the frustration here again, aren't you? And I'm just cringeing for Haleth after the boat incident. Please, please - sort them out. I don't think any of us can bear this for much longer.

Author Reply: The encounter in the boat really didn't turn out the way Haleth expected. Inglor likely felt his actions were perfectly understandable and maybe they would have been to another elf. Not so understandable to a mortal.

Oh dear - I do hope that finally, one day, they have a moment or two of mutual understanding!

But how good to see Frodo and Bilbo again.

Author Reply: It might happen someday, but it's going to take a lot of work. They make completely different assumptions. Inglor appears clueless while Haleth flies off in a rage, but it's mainly been just the two of them alone. Now that other people are involved, they might have a chance to understand each other.

Poor Haleth. Upstaged once again by Inglor and the booby doesn't have a clue. I really hope the two of them get their acts together. Haleth needs to stop taking everything personally and Inglor needs a quick kick in the derrier. Have a happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Author Reply: You've summed it up perfectly. She needs to learn to control her temper. He needs to understand that she has a completely different worldview an learn to accomodate to her instead of assuming she understands his actions. Or maybe he's being mysterious on purpose. (Just don't ask me why.)

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wish you health and good luck in the coming year.

Oh dear. Things are not going well. Or maybe I should say, Things are continuing not to go well.

And here's the shocking part: even the addition of hobbits didn't seem to help!

Still, some day Haleth and Inglor will be laughing about this ... I hope.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Author Reply: I'm sorry. This story isn't a load of laughs. I think that's why it's so hard to write; it's just not fun. I'm very grateful to readers who are hanging in with it. It will get lighter. Eventually.

I hope your Christmas was happy and peaceful and that the new year brings only good things.
