Thranduil's powers are breathtaking.

Author Reply: Thank you so much for your review. I always was fascinated from the special power of the wood Elves. Thranduil is a special elf anyway and he has no ring of power. Glad you enjoy. Lai

I have been reading this story all along. I have been trying to cut down on my computer time lately,(a lost cause, I am afraid,) so I do not do as many reviews lately. But I wanted you to know that I am very much enjoying this story. Knowing that the brothers El are tiny right now, and do live to grow up, is the only way one would know how this will turn out. You have kept the suspense going very well. This chapter has tied up some loose ends nicely. Elrond is on friendly, even affectionate terms with Thranduil's sons. Thranduil and his wife are gratefully in his debt. And he is also in Thranduil's debt for the way home. When Thranduil first suggested that he might be able to arrange a faster way, I first thought maybe by river. Then I remembered that all of the rivers in that part of the land seemed to run into the Anduin, and so SOUTH, not North and west, as needed. I like Glorfindel's comment that Thranduil was always good for a surprise! But really,it is not that much of a surprise. To me, Thranduil is known for living in harmony with his woods and all of the creatures in them. It does not surprise me that he would have a friendly relationship with the Great Eagles. That sort of adds another dimension to the appearance of the Eagles at the battle of Five Armies, many years later.

Author Reply: Hi, thank you so much for letting me know that you enjoyed my story. It means a lot to me. I always want to tell so much but I´m still struggling with the language. Without my wonderful beta readers this would not be possible. I´m glad the suspense worked and you are satisfied with the end. The rivers were my first thought too but as you pointed out they all flow in the wrong direction. Then I remembered that Thranduil and his wood elves must have a closer connection with the nature around them and the Eagles seemed the logical consequence. Because the twins have grown up, as we know, Elrond must have arrived in time, but that´s not part of this story, but maybe I can find some time to write a sequel?
Anyway, I´m happy that you found the time to read and review. I really appreciate it. Thank you. Lai

Hi. I suspected that the great eagles will be called to help and I'm glad that Thranduil had that power. Now I would like to see the faces of those in Imladris when Elrond will descend from the back of the eagle. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author Reply: Hi minuial, yes you guessed right. I liked the idea that Thranduil has the power to call for the Eagles, but I fear we must imagine the faces of those in Imladris. This will be for another story. Only an epilog to follow. Thank you so much for following my story and always reviewing. I appreciated every one of them. Lai

The Eagles! The Eagles! Well... at least one. *grin* A cool solution and one I never thought on. Good job! Let's hope Elrond makes it back in time. I feel sorry for poor Glorfi having to bring the horses back. Let's hope he makes it back in one piece as well.

Author Reply: Hi Fiondil, yes the Eagles! I´m glad you liked my idea. I have long struggled how to solve the problem. Yes poor Glorfi, but he will also make it home. I prosmise. Thank you so much for the review. Lai
