| It took a VERY long time before I could write a drabble, either! Heh! First chapter I wrote that was under a thousand words I got congratulations from many. But this one deserves the font it uses, believe me! Excellently done. Author Reply: Hello Larner, yeah, I think maybe I was a bit too ambitious in trying to make a drabble out of such a heavy subject *snorts at self*. Still, you live and learn, right? | If Théoden would not let Merry fulfil his duty as the king's swordthain, then Merry would fulfil his duty as the heir of Brandy Hall. If Théoden would not let Merry fight for Rohan and Gondor, then Merry would fight for the Shire! Great lines! These are Merry's thoughts, there's no doubt about it! Merry had far too much to ponder and to decide to be squeezed in a drabble ;-) So, you only did him justice by expanding it! Author Reply: Hello Andrea, He really did have too much going through his head to squeeze into a hundred words. It was very frustrating for me, as a writer ... But Théoden underestimated his will to fight, as well as his sheer tenacity. Not to mention his niece's determination!
