In Darkness Bound  by Fiondil 3 Review(s)

Alas that the return came at such a cost. Nolofinwe did not wish his office, and his willingness to offer it up immediately has managed to remove some of Feanor's reasons for resentment, but still, he is not yet appeased. Too bad it will be so many others who will die to see Melkor thrown down at last.

Author Reply: Indeed, Larner. The body count, as it were, is just beginning to rise. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it.

Well, if nothing, the noldors are really inventors; I think that they were the most industrious of the clans and for that reason, maybe, the most ambitious. Knowledge expands your mind and makes you seek outside your boundaries. I think, that they really could not be happy in Valinor without a purpose, they remind me of men, always seeking, moving. The bad thing is when you applied that thirst of knowledge to pursuit the wrong ends.

So, Feanor is there and they have accepted him. Ingwë was concerned with Feanor, but at the end none of the Noldors heeded his advice, so better for him to part to his kingdom and let the noldors to manage their affairs. What it worries me is that if he goes to Olwen, he may be there when that madness unleash, and Ingwion as well. What a mess!

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. A mess, indeed, but to what extent remains to be seen.

The Noldor's fatal flaw was knowledge for the sake of knowledge without taking into account its consequences or it source. That was Celebrimbor's downfall. He apparently learned nothing from family history.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it.

Well he's back, now for the explosion!
Would have been interesting to see what Ingwe would have said but I think Nolofinwe averted a serious incident by doing what he did.
Franaro is too calm for my liking.
Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. We will see how things go between Fëanáro and Ingwë. The High King is done with the son of Finwë yet. *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing.
