Love Eldarion trying to cheer louder than anyone and love also Aragorn as dove and able to now raise his children in peace. I'm sure Eldarion knows why that peace is there also.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Dear Linda: Both of these brief tales were very enjoyable! I'm glad that Gandalf explained his comparison of a swallow to Faramir. Gandalf always did see beneath the surface of things, and he saw faithfulness and endurance in Faramir. Moreover, the wizard might have been having one of his flashes of foresight. As for the second tale, while it is difficult to imagine the "eagle" being so domesticated as to turn into a "dove," it is, as Imrahil observes, a wonderful thing that peace has returned to the land, so that Aragorn can enjoy his family and his kingdom in peace. I very much hope that you intend to add more chapters to this story, as I always look forward to your LotR fiction. Thank you for writing and posting these. Sincerely, Darkover

Author Reply: Manythanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you liked these double drabbles.I'm pleased the comparison to a swallow worked for you.I think Aragorn can be as gentle as a dove with Arwen and his little ones while still being a fierce warrior! I have several of these waiting to post and hope to write more for the GFIC Group which hosts regular writing challenges at
