This is so wonderful to see him healing so well and even a little dancing here! :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I so agree, Antane!

Oh, these are delightful, Larner! We can rejoice in the healing of Frodo, and the love and companionship he receives from his dear "Uncle" Bilbo.

My favorite is the last one; I have always been unduly fascinated by the waterfalls at Rivendell, and I love seeing that Elrond and Celebrķan have found someplace to dwell that reminds them of it. (And the twins, when they eventually arrive, at least in my 'verse.) I can see the site in my mind's eye, as you describe it so beautifully! I wonder if the Valar schemed, er, collaborated to create it for them, as a reward for staving off Darkness for so long?

These brighten my day, Larner... thank you for sharing them!

Author Reply: Am so glad that you're enjoying them. I suspect that Bilbo remained with Frodo at least until he was certain that Frodo was indeed beginning to recover his ability to appreciate joy and beauty once more. I was amazed by the vision of Rivendell created by PJ's folk, and laughed at the commentary as they described how they couldn't seem to limit how many waterfalls they had pouring into the valley.

I'm certain that the Valar would have wanted to offer Elrond as beautiful a spot as possible to live once he was there within the Undying Lands.

And thank you for your lovely comments!

I am really enjoying this small series of slices into Frodo's life after his travels West. This one was especially nice to me. Thanks for sharing.

Author Reply: Am glad that my responses to the water challenges on Tolkien Weekly have offered so much pleasure. And I think so far this is my favorite as well.

Who indeed?

Then again, it's rather hard to place a busty marble statue of a nude lady holding up a large mouth bass with water pouring out of it, and six fat little cherubs frolicking all around, in a waterfall...........

Author Reply: You have me laughing at this one, Armariel! Although I usually imagine her holding that blasted pitcher that never seems to empty, no matter how much she spills out of it! Heh!

Thanks for the giggle!

Nice to see Frodo in Valinor, relearning how to be well.

Author Reply: Indeed, Aiwen. Seeing Frodo begin to appreciate life again must have given Bilbo so much joy and reassurance.
