| Yay, two chapters in one day! Poor Aragorn... locusts aren't exactly Shire cuisine, are they. At least they took the legs off! I've eaten small roasted crickets and can attest that, at least with those, the legs are the worst... they're somehow dry and prickly and no matter how much you chew them, it feels like they're sticking in your throat. *shudder* And it occurs to me in writing this that I've eaten far too many odd foods in my life. LOL But I definitely empathise with Aragorn. But at least he's no longer bound. I have a feeling he'll take advantage of that situation, somehow... Author Reply: Almost three, but it's getting late again =) So I guess there will be two tomorrow, also. And no, locusts (very probably) aren't Shire cuisine... I looked for some locust recipes, and most involved removing the legs and wings, so I let them do it too =) Personally, I didn't have the pleasure(?) of eating locusts, but I've eaten ants once. Tastes sour, and yes, the legs between teeth... | |
