A Long-Expected Wedding  by Fiondil 16 Review(s)

Rereading bits and pieces of your stories, going back to the bits I like and I got to wondering why the Elves did not use carrier pigeons for urgent messages?
Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: Well, that would be too easy, now, wouldn't it, Lynda? And not as much fun as having the lot of them running around like crazy. LOL!

Hugs back.

Amarië has disappeared? Why do I get the feeling she did it because she had only two options – run away or kill her Amm&eum;? At least they deduced quite fast what the most likely happened.

Glorfindel may be still immature, but he still can use his head, does he? Yeah, I suspect there's more to Marilla than meets the eye, too. That's way too suspicious.

*sigh* I don't like the appearance of these Maiar. What on earth has happened now? And frankly, I don't like the way the elves are ordered around. Have the Valar and Maiar not learned that these particular elves most definitely don't like to be ordered around like that, with no explanations whatsoever?

Author Reply: We'll find out what reason Amarië had for disappearing in a later chapter, of course.

And naturally there's more to Marilla than meets the eye and Glorfindel is no fool.

As for the Maiar... well... we'll see....

Thanks for commenting, Kitty.

I see. Amarië does not want her wedding dress to look like a reused old patchwork quilt so she decided to visit a certain seamstress, which prompted Finrod to follow her, which slightly thwarted Valars plans,
so they dit not take any chance and they have sent a whole contingent of well armed Maiar to stop him, because they want him in Lorien, where they have prepared a big surprise party including his brothers.

Author Reply: Hi Serindë. Your analysis is pretty close to reality. Just how close, we'll see in the next chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.

I find myself wondering what elf from Finrod's rule has just been reborn and needs his presence. And I always love an appearance from Olorin!

Author Reply: As to that, Larner, we'll just have to wait and see. *grin* Glad you love an Olórin's appearance. I always love it when he shows up, too. He's usually full of surprises. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.

Or rather, Marilla is more than what she seems, Atto. *is convinced Marilla is Marillien, though*

Tye-melin tenn' Ambar-metta,

Kaylee

Author Reply: I knew what you meant. *grin* We'll find out if you're right eventually, Kaylee. I promise.

Atto, Amarie's disappeared!!! And she's taken our other intrepid ellith with her...or they took her with them...or something...eek, why does this sound so reminiscent of Indil and Elindis vanishing in the other story?? Please tell me Ingoldo didn't do it (at least if you can do so without lying...)

And the Valar stopped Finda from going after her?! Why??? Ok, I'm sooooo confused. What's going on??? Why does Finda have to go to Lorien??? Can't it be Wednesday already? (Well at least it's Friday tomorrow!!)

*is an impatient Kaylee, Atto* hehe, sorry...but you've got me so intrigued!!

And I know Marillien's definitely much more than she seems...she must be...*grin*

Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. No, Ingoldo has nothing to do with any of this. He's safely in exile in Formenos, so no worries there. What is going on will be revealed soon.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's very much appreciated. Tye-melin.

Oh, my! Curiouser and curiouser, as Alice said.

Amariel is definitely the future mother-in-law from heckandback. I'm sorry to see Arafinwe getting in a fight with Earwen, but I'm glad he's standing up to protect the Reborn from flashbacking upon seeing that horrid china!

I thought my wedding was complicated with the principals involves being all over the world and having to get everything to my hometown in that last week before the ceremony, but at least none of us felt the need to run away from our parents because of them taking things over.

I'm practically positive that Head Chef Marilla is a certain Maia whom we met at Lady Nienna's in the Elf Interrupted stories. :)

I can understand why Findarato is so upset about his attempt to get to where he thinks to find Amarie being interrupted by Lord Tulkas' Maiar, but I had to laugh at how the Maiar stood down when Glorfindel indicated that he'd be willing to take on half of them and Finrod the other half.

And then being bidden to return to Lorien immediately... well, no wonder our prince is stressing out and reacting more and more negatively to everything--like a much younger Reborn. He's definitely feeling out of control of events and things, and it has always been apparent since his departure from Mandos that being in control is important to him. I'm sure that whatever awaits him in Lorien is for his own good--it's just that I think that there were more diplomatic ways for him to have been told to go there.

I admit that I rather like Linda's idea that the Valar are going to give Findarato a bachelor party... It gave me a great mental image and made me smile.

Well done, meldonya!

Author Reply: Hi Rhyselle. Well, I imagine there are plenty of couples out there who could regale us with wedding horror-stories. LOL!

Finrod has been under a lot of stress later, that's for sure, and this last episode hasn't helped any. We'll see soon enough whast that's all about.

As for Marilla... that will be revealed eventually as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read and review. I very much appreciate it.

Amarie has forgotten to bring her bridegroom with her, if the intent was to elope! But owch even discounting the flashbacks, that pattern sounds HORRID. I wonder what's brewing?

Author Reply: Hi Bookworm. It is indeed a horrid pattern. We'll see what's brewing soon enough. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much

Hay! Maybe the Valar are planning a surprise Batchlor Party for Finrod and this is their way of getting him to it!?

Just a thought!

Lynda

Author Reply: You never know, Lynda. LOL! We'll see in the next chapter.
