A Long-Expected Wedding  by Fiondil 12 Review(s)
TariReviewed Chapter: 31 on 1/9/2012
So Isildil is going to apprentice with Nienna is he? I think he got off to easy.

Let the party begin.

Author Reply: I don't know, Tari. Nienna and Marilliën can be hard taskmasters when they want to be. They won't let Isildil pull any nonsense on their watch. His stay there will definitely be no picnic but hopefully he'll leave there a better Elf. Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Atto,

So THAT'S why the Valar weren't there!! Well, they were but they weren't...I mean...you know, lol.

Well, they're certainly there now. And HA! I was right about Marilla/Marillien! (Well, I was far from the only one who was right, but I think I guessed first. I could be wrong about *that*...my brain's a bit fuzzy this morning, I took my anticonvulsant medications an hour and a half late because I left them at home by accident when visiting my daeredhryn =( *sighs* I am a silly Kaylee)

But I KNEW she was Marillien! I was right, I was right, I was...waitaminute, what do you mean, only one more chapter??? There will be appendices and things, won't there? Won't there??? :( *loves this story too much for it to end NOW*

But...on the other hand...EA2!!!!!! Yay yay yay!!!!!!!! All right, so if it must end now at least there's EA2 *bounce*

Isildil got his just desserts! *has cake thrown at her for bad pun* *ducks behind Atya*

Ahem, I mean deserts. (Spelled like the (sometimes hot, sometimes cold; did you know Antarctica's a desert?!) arid place but pronounced like the sweetness =) my English teacher said so in 8th grade)

Tye-melin, Atarinya!

Kaylee

Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. Your meds obviously have you bouncing off the ceiling. LOL! Yes, Wedding does come to an end on Wednesday, and no there are no appendices or anything following, but I will be posting the first chapter of EA2 on the following Monday, so you won't have too long to wait. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it. Tye-melin.

Looks like Isidil got his just desserts! *shot for bad pun* Ah, mob mentality - I bet half of them didn't even know why they were hitting Isildil by that point. And LOL "Yes amme, sorry amme" XD Anaire is going to have her hands full I see! And the fun's not over yet! So how badly do Finrod & Amarie wish they eloped now?

Author Reply: LOL! That is a bad pun, but appropriate. I'm sure Finrod and Amarië are wishing they'd eloped 12 years ago by now. Thanks for commenting, bookworm. It's much appreciated.

Aha! Isildil is finally dealt with, and now we have an apparent storm coming! Be careful what you say around the Valar--the catastrophe you name may well occur! Heh!

Author Reply: And Arafinwë should know better than to tempt fate that way. LOL! Thanks for reading and reviewing, Larner. I appreciate it.

Oh, I SO had the cook nailed, and long ago. I'm happy, happy, happy.

Now, as to Namo saying that Manwe would be more familiar with the antics of young children, well on that, I'm not so sure. It's not Manwe who has to coax children back down from climbing the tree-like pillars in Namo's Halls, after all. And it's not Manwe who gives his dead charges stuffed animals for comfort, sings them lullabies, or rocks them to sleep. I suspect that Namo is just as familiar with the antics of children, if not more.

Loved the new color for Namo's clothing. He would look scrumptious in Royal Blue and Azure.

But now you are actually presenting me with a mystery - this darkening of the skies which, as a Feanorian-gal from way back, brings back too much thought of the murdered Trees. I'll just have to be patient - same Bat time, same Bat channel....

Congrats on your MEFA awards, they couldn't go to a nicer guy.

- Erulisse (one L)

Author Reply: Hi Eurlisse. I'm happy that you're happy. *grin*

I think Námo was recalling when a certain Elf poured cold water over Manwë when he told the 3 Reborn to go after the Elder King.

Glad you liked Námo's wedding clothes. I think he looks very good in royal blue and azure myself, but he'll go back to black soon enough. He needs to maintain his image after all.

As for the darkening of the skies... we'll learn what that's all about in the next chapter.

Thanks for the congratulations and thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

That was an ominous ending. Do they get their blizzard? The Valar are pretty busy with all the trials and what else the elves come up with to "entertain" them. I loved the cake in Namo's face, and the reaction of the 3 Reborn to Anaire's commands. It is too funny. Although seeing Nolofinwe reduced to elflinghood is hard to swallow. Poor Anaire needs a lot of patience and stamina to get her husband back.

Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. An ominous ending, indeed. We'll see what it means in the next chapter. And it'll take a lot of time and patience for Anairë to get her husband and her sons back, but they'll get there. Glad you liked the part with the cake and Námo. Thanks for letting me know. I really appreciate it.

Oo! Royal Blue silk velvet, nice, Namo, very nice or should that be Vaire since she probably helped him pick it out?

Well that Trial turned out very well, I never thought of Isildil going to Nienna's though, it looks like Marilla will have him on her hands for a while, still she did have a blast helping out at the palace, quite a change from running Nienna's kitchen.

Anaire seems to be getting the hang of handling Re-born, do you think that maybe Arafinwe and Earwen have been giving her some hints?

Now what is going on with the weather, you would think that the Valar could ensure it would stay nice for the feast and festivities afterwards?

The Cliffee King's Muse strikes again!

Huggs,
Lynda

p.s. I wondered why I woke up at 5.20 this morning, apart from letting the cat out for a morning sniff, then I realised it was wednesday, Fiondil Day, Yay!

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Fiondil Day. LOL!

I'm sure Vairë was instrumental in robing her hubby in royal blue, something he normally wouldn't have done.

And sending Isildil to Nienna is logical considering all the troublemakers she usually gets saddled with. I'm sure between her and Marilliën, he'll make out okay eventually.

And yes, Anairë is getting the hang of handling Reborn. I have no doubt Arafinwë and Eärwen have been giving her pointers.

And as for the weather... we'll find out what that's all about next week. Just one chapter left and the story will be done and then I will begin posting the sequel to Elf Academy.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

oh Fiondil, this story is always good for a much needed laugh. Your Valar are priceless. What a hilarious situation. Don´t wish for a blizzard in the face of the Valar. Like this story so much. Thank you for another awesome chapter, even if it is a cliffhanger. Looking forward for the nextupdate. Lai

Author Reply: Hi Lai. This chapter is pretty funny. *grin* Thanks for letting me know how much you enjoyed it. I appreciate it very much.

Arafinwë really shouldn't give Fate - or the Valar - any ideas. *glares at evil cliffie*

I so hoped that the cake would be miraculously restored - if for no other reason, then for the sake of those poor apprentices. Anairë disciplining her menfolk - or would that be ellynfolk? - was hilarious, though. *g*

Author Reply: Hi Soledad. You're right about Arafinwë and he should've known better. Sorry for the cliffie, but I promise it's the last one for this story.

Well find out the fate of the cake in the next chapter along with what is happening outside the pavilion.

Glad you found Anairë disciplining her husband and sons hilarious. I don't think she'll have too much trouble keeping them in line. *grin*

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

What now?
Sorry for the super short review. RL is caotic right now. Just wanted to let you know that I'm reading
