Very nice marriage of worlds here. And am glad this word reached its intended recipient. Now he has reason to be out looking for the last of the waterlilies!

Author Reply: Thanks!

that is an awesome gap-filler! How interesting to think that Maggot had a role in alerting Bombadil like how Gildor sent messages too to most elves to make sure that Frodo had a somewhat easier time to get through to Rivendell.
Awesome tale!

Author Reply: Well, that's canon! All I had to do was fill in the specifics! Thanks!

That was PERFECT! I love it! I got a good chuckle out of how you worked in the concept of poetry, Maggot not being so good at it without Tom but the birds remembering it better. And I absolutely love the fact that there is more than one conspiracy going on this night. It has a feel that many eyes are watching and remembering, both friendly and not so friendly. Maggot doesn't understand everything, but as Tom notes later, both of his eyes are definitely open. Happy birthday and many thanks for such a wonderful fulfillment of the request! I'll have to check out the other stories later once I finish up a certain BB fic... ;)

Author Reply: Well, I quickly realized that Maggot could hardly have made the trip in there himself, and if he was going to have to relay a message, of course it would rhyme...

And no, Maggot doesn't know everything, but he knows enough to know when to call for backup.

Thanks so much!

*GRIN* This is wonderful, and seems very possible! And..."OWL POST!!"

*grins some more*

Y'know...I bet Bombadil would get along great with Hagrid...

Author Reply: I couldn't not title it that, thanks! :)
