Till We Have Faces  by Antane 4 Review(s)
LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 12 on 3/24/2014
Ah, poor Boromir still doesn't know where he is. I love his remembering the love and care showered on Frodo during the journey, and Gandalf's thoughts about love countering the evil effect of the Ring. And yes, it must seem like a piece of his life is missing for Frodo to be Samless, at least until Sam sailed to join him.

I am remembering that in that blessed land, mortals could choose to lay down their lives at will, embracing death with peace at the last. I wonder if this is what will happen with Boromir, when his task is done?

Author Reply: Yes, he's going to get one heck of a shock when he finally realizes, poor man. That's a great idea to use with Boromir dying at will - I hadn't thought of that - thank you! Still don't know how it's going to end myself but must remember that. I think it would be fun if Sam gets a shock and sees him but we shall see. This story is already taking twists and turns I didn't expect.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

You make me wish it had happened like this in the book! It will be hard for Boromir when he learns he cannot go home.

Author Reply: It's fun to write this. Yes, if Boromir has had shocks before, he ain't felt anything yet, poor man. Glad you are enjoying!

Yes, time for full disclosure to begin. And he believes he's in Rivendell? Interesting, but a logical enough assumption.

Author Reply: Rivendell was the last place he saw Bilbo and Elrond so he has no other reference, and the worst of disclosures is yet to come.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
