This plot just keeps getting better and better!

trust the elves to come up with a working plan. Hopefully Farell will take the bait but I doubt that the agency will not send more agents. One sentence disturbed me. Glorfindel wants not to risk Amroth´s life. What about his life, is it less worth? One day they will blow up the elves´ dwelling and that was it; I hope the elves consider this and the Valar are vigilant. Thrilling chapter. Thank you. Lai

Author Reply: Hi Lai. I think Glorfindel is concerned that with Nimrodel pregnant, Amroth should not be risking his life, since Nimrodel needs him to help support her and the children in the manner in which Elves do when the elleth is expecting. And, as a warrior, Glorfindel consiers himself expendable if it means saving the lives of others. I'm glad you found this to be a thrilling chapter. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate it.

I wonder if that message and the kidnapping of the agents will only bring the whole Agency to Alaska... And what is everyone going to think when after those six months the agents finally can tell that Ambrose was never there! Great idea to get ninja elves to kidnap "Ambrose", though, and that Inuit villare really was probably the best place to store the agents for a while.

Author Reply: Hi someone. That is a risk, of course, but hopefully Glorfindel's message will give them pause, since they have no idea with whom they are dealing. We'll have to see how it goes. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

Atya,

I'm so glad you're all right, for starters! Second, I wonder just how poor disoriented Alex survived being attacked by ninja Elves, LOL! I wonder how his "friends" from the North are faring by now...

(Spent a good deal of time last Thursday in hospital myself. It turns out I only have an upper respiratory infection, but Emma has walking pneumonia, though she's recovering well, I think. She was well enough for us to go to Yosemite National Park. We left the day before yesterday and got back in last night.)

Anyway, I hope Alex will be all right, Farrell is still raising my suspicions, and Maddy too...

Tye-melin!

Kaylee

Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. Sorry to hear you and Emma were ill. Am glad you are feeling much better. I'm doing about as well as expected this early in my recovery. Things should be getting easier for me as the days progress.

And Alex is a survivor, whatever life throws at him.

Thanks for commenting. Tye-melin.

Alex takes it rather well when he discovered who dropped him off in the woods. I think this time he really had a reason to fly off the handle. But his head hurt probably too much. The elves are rather high-handed. They should be careful. Humans have a tendency for nasty surprises and there are still other agents out there.

What is going on at the agency? Is there a third party at play aside from the elves pretending to be a third party?

I love the idea of putting the other agents on "ice". Maybe they can take it as a forced "vacation".

Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. Well, maybe he's just getting used to Elves and their quirky sense of humor. *grin* But, you're correct that the Elves should be careful and not be so high-handed. That will cause a bit of trouble later, as we eventually will see.

As for what is going on at the agency, I'm not entirely sure myself, but I kmow there are forces at work and not all of them are on the side of the angels.

And I thought 'putting them on ice' for real was a nice touch. *grin*

Thanks for reading and reviewing. It's very much appreciated.

It would be fun to be a fly on the wall when Maddy gets that picture of her agents. If she gets it, that is. I really wonder what is going on in the Agency, with that nasty bit of work Farrell being sent to meddle in Alex' investigation, and all the backup _he_ (Farrell, just to be clear) is getting. I also wonder what sort of explanation Max gave to ensure that those agents would remain "guests" in that Inuit village all through the coming winter.

Farrell must be almost frothing at the mouth by now... :-)

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. It would be fun to be that fly, wouldn't it? *grin* We will get a hint later on that all is not well at the Agency, but to say more than that now would spoil things.

I'm sure Max simply called upon clan loyalty to help him with the agents. And Farrell is absolutely rabid by now.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I really appreciate it.

Well, they made it really very realistic, abandoning Alex unconscious in the wild! I trust a Maiar was keeping watch so he was safe.

*lol* Now that's an idea I'd never have thought of to keep Finlay and the others out of the picture without harming them! That's funny to imagine them sitting in that Inuit village in the middle of nowhere during the arctic winter and being unable to leave or in fact do much of anything! And with the Maiar around, they will have to stay and can't harm the Inuit, either. Love that idea! It's great how the people of Wiseman help the Elves. And to send the photos to Maddy ... I'd like to see her face when she gets them and finds out what happened!

Seems it's rather convenient to have Fionwë around to keep Farrell off track when necessary. They really have formidable and useful allies in the Maiar.

You know, if I'd keep my mails as short as Alex, I might actually be able to keep up with my inbox ;)

Oh, that was to be expected that Farrell would turn up to demand answers. For some reason, it's quite enjoyable to see him so much at a loss and annoyed because he lost more than half of his people and got tricked as well.

Keeping my fingers crossed on Monday!

Author Reply: Hi Kitty. I'm glad you like what the Elves came up with for the agents, literally putting them on ice, as it were. I thought is was genius, myself. We'll hear more about them from Fionwë in a later chapter when he gives Glorfindel an update on them. I think when those agents are finally allowed to leave, the first thing they're going to do is resign from the Agency, then move to the tropics. LOL!

And of course, Alex was very truthful to Farrell when he told him he had no idea where the other agents were, which really has Farrell feeling at a loss. Unfortunately, his frustration makes him that much more dangerous.

Thanks for commenting and thanks for your prayers. Both are much appreciated.

Just want you to know how much I am enjoying this. You have given me a reason to look forward to Mondays.

Creative thinking to put the agents on ice-literally! I almost feel sorry for frantic Farrell. I get the feeling that he is the rogue agent and that Maddy may not be getting Alex's messages at all.
Still holding good wishes and prayers for you for Monday. And still 30+ chapters to go. Yay! That is at least 3months more of happy reading.

Author Reply: Hi harrowcat. Very creative thinking, indeed! LOL! You have to wonder if Maddy is getting any of Alex's messages when she's not responding.

Thanks for your prayers and good wishes and for the review. I appreciate them all very much.

FantasiaReviewed Chapter: 30 on 4/27/2012
Ninja Elves indeed. Alex took it pretty well, his interaction with the elves is now more relaxed.

Farrell, what are we going to do with you?

Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Yes, Alex is getting more used to the Elves, though it won't be completely smooth sailing between them (or there'd be no story). As for Farrell... that remains to be seen.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I appreciate it.
