I only recognized the main theme but I loved the Monkees and it was such a shock to hear of Davy's death. A nice tribute, my dear! Liked the first story too. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I had a lot of fun with that little parody.

It was a shock! It seems so odd that the baby of the group went first...

I so laughed to see this part of my teenage days revisited! And love the fascination between Frodo and Geranium that ends so abruptly when food is introduced!

Author Reply: Yes, well with those blue eyes, Frodo was the obvious choice for "Davy". I had to have him fall in love-- but then fall out just as quickly as Davy always did, LOL!

I remember the Monkees; I loved their show when I was a kid; and though Mickey was my favorite; I liked Davy too. How fast the time goes; it's hard to believe that he's gone.

A charming tribute to a fantastic foursome - hey, hey, indeed!

Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed this piece. It is so hard to believe he's gone.

I had fun writing this little farce!

Hay! Hay! It's the Hobbits,
And people say they Hobbit around,
But there too busy eating
To put anybody down!

Hay! Hay! You're the author
And you do a marvelous job
Of writing these Hobbits stories
With a reasonable plot!

Sorry, that last line dosen't quite scan but you get the idea!

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: *grin* Thanks!

They are THE HOBBITS: MERRY, PIPPIN, FRODO and SAM. They are young and fresh-faced, with curly mops of hair and slightly pointed ears. -- Yes!

People say we hobbit around -- Well, of course: what else should hobbits do but hobbit?

Wonderfully wacky, Dreamflower. I laughed and laughed.

I remember seeing Davy Jones on the Ed Sullivan show, in his Broadway Oliver! role as the Artful Dodger. This week's news reports reminded me that was the famous Beatles debut; I much preferred Davy Jones to the Fab Four.

Author Reply: I didn't see that particular Ed Sullivan show. I'm not sure why, as we usually watched it, but perhaps we weren't home at the time.

I'm glad this made you laugh!
